I know I wish there were more art, but that's all I got for now. Maybe they will start bringing more out soon. My say, is this series may blow Atlantis out of the water. But SG-1 is still the best.

A little too early, I know. I saw topics on these, just wanna shout out some new things as well.

[b]Stargate Universe is an upcoming third series of the famous fiction television series, part of the Stargate franchise. The series was announced on August 22, 2008 and is scheduled to debut as a two-hour movie and then will begin regular weekly airings on SCI FI in the summer of 2009. Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper will serve as executive producers and writers. Obviously.

Keeps the spirit of Stargate, opens up a new universe (Maybe thanks to Baal's time device in the second movie, Continuum, could actually link that to the storyline, which Baal can most likely do this, but he's done and gone anyway).

Will have a new team, just like Atlantis, even though, the leader was a temporary leader back in Season 8, but you never know, might have old favorites come to visit.

It's based on the final and ninth Chevron, and based in the present time, and not the far future of the year 3000. :p

Set on ancient ship called "Destiny"(John Locke, eat your heart out) that seeded stargates all over the galaxy, which they find. The team find it, it's as older as Atlantis itself.

It's going to involve Star Trek-quese like space battles. So I don't think we may end up going to other planets, but it wouldn't serve any purpose if they didn't visit any. So possibly.

Atlantis will end it's six season run in 28, August, I think.

I'm pretty sure they pitched the first five episodes.

Here at the characters that we'll meet on our experience of this new series, I hate typing, so I copied pasted this part from wikipedia:

* Colonel Everett Young – Described as "40's handsome, capable, former SG team leader" who is "like the Jack O'Neill of ten years ago", yet with sharper edges. At the beginning of Stargate Universe, he has been married for two years and is the temporary commander of a secret off-world base.

* Tamara Jon – An SGC field medic in her early twenties with off-world experience. She has a modest background, yet is "beautiful, tough, smart, capable." At the beginning of the series, she is overwhelmed by the lack of medical knowledge, experience, medicine and supplies aboard the ship.

* Chloe Carpenter – A "stunning and sexy" daughter of a US Senator around her twenties, whose character is tested "after her father's tragic death and the dire circumstances of being trapped on a spaceship".

* Eli Hitchcock – A "total slacker" in his early twenties and an "utter genius" in mathematics, computers and other fields. He is a social outcast with an "acerbic sense of humor", and lacks confidence in his intelligence. The character breakdown compares him to "Matt Damon's character from Good Will Hunting with a little Jack Black thrown in".

* Lt. Jared Nash – A skilled and well-trained Junior SGC member in his early twenties who is "mentally unprepared for the urgency of the situation" aboard the ship.

* Ron "Psycho" Stasiak – A "big, strong, silent" marine aged 20 with a mysterious past who lacks control over his temper in non-combat situations. The character breakdown compares him to Eric Bana's character "Hoot" in Black Hawk Down.[/b]

Stargate doesn't need epic space battles period. It needs more of the humor and one-liners of O'Neil.

Sci-Fi channel doesn't show many classics and underfunds/cancels shows to come out with another shittier show or more ECW.
