Idk, I don't think the campaign alone was some deal breaker. Instant action or whatever the skirmish mode was called would be nice, maybe more than a handful of maps. I also hope to god they dont pull a sims, cut out all the dlc heroes from this game and resell them again next game.
please learn from your mistakes
i want a good modern battlefront
edit: and do away with this star cards nonsense
Hopefully it'll be good like how Titanfall 2's campaign was stellar AF.
But this is DICE.
Meaning we'll have a campaign that lasts about 4 - 5 hours and is basically just throwaway content, no thanks.

i'd rather they focus on the multiplayer anyways
a short but sweet campaign is fine by me
While this is great news, i really doubt they're going to include as much content as the originals had. They said they focused on one era for Battlefront so they could "do it right" or something along those lines, and just look at how lacking that was.
4 player coop in the vein of Battlefront 2 please.
Really just make Battlefront 2 but prettier.

They already have one Era done, so they could easily do two by including the last one which is what they did with the original Battlefront 2
DICE is co-developing this one with Motive studios and criterion according to the article, so they have more man power, they're probably working on the campaign

The article itself says multiple eras, but I'm
Guessing it will be the OT and the ST. Maybe some more rogue One stuff too

They made a ton of money off Battlefront right?
So if they listen to what the community wants then the obvious thing is should to be include the things the majority of players asked about.
That just means more money to them. Hopefully they see that.
I know a lot of people criticize this but if they just build off the first one they made with some of the assets they should be able to focus on adding more features and content. Much like Fallout 3 to New Vegas or Battlefront 1 to Battlefront 2 even.
Will there actually be a decent amount of content this time around before dlc?
i hope the gameplay is meaningful and satisfying which induces teamwork and strategy
basically i hope they fixed the entire game
Speaking of Battlefront 2, inb4 Pandemic's game is retroactively renamed to "Star Wars Battlefront II: The Good One"
"Our next Star Wars Battlefront will be even bigger, taking players into more locations, and allowing them to play with more heroes and characters across multiple Star Wars eras," Wilson said.
sounds like maybe they learnt and will include lots of stuff, even tho I kinda liked just the original trilogy things more content is always good
Glad to see they're finally finishing the first one
Sad to see the entire finished game will probably cost 240$
I really really hope the sequel is much less shallow and also doesn't charge you $120 from the get-go for base+DLC.
If they include Clone Wars I hope they use heroes from the TV show as well as the movies

And fix the AI. As much as I liked BFII the AI was dismal

This is the first time I've heard someone talk shit about the Titanfall 2 campaign. I haven't played it because I'm not interested but everyone who has seems to love it.
If Star Cards make a return, count me out.

I think that comment was referring to Battlefield campaigns.

My point was, the focused entirely on one era this game, and it hardly had anything - there are only 2.5 vehicles, for example. The game did have a short development time but they said they "wanted to do it right" and then it was very lacking. The OT era needs to be expanded for the next game as well, and EA don't come across as the sort that will go out of there way to include more than the minimum required. I doubt it will get anywhere near the level of content as Battlefront 1/2 or the cancelled BF3.
It's seriously only OT and ST of eras in this sequel I'm going be annoyed. Like why not use a setting that's LITERALLY called:
THE CLONES WARS.
That and how much TCW had expanded upon the Clones,Jedi,Separtist there's room for a whole slew of skins, classes, vehicles, heroes, villians, settings, etc.
Plus the removing of tokens and star cards and OP DLC weapons. And ground vehicles for both sides and a balancing for them, nothing is better than grabbing an ATST only to have it get destoryed 2 minutes after getting in because there's 10+ people with ion torpedoes and rockets you cannot avoid.
I wouldn't have minded them sticking to the GCW era if they didn't limit themselves to only what appeared in the films. I really prefer the look and feel of it, but they really made the selection of weapons and vehicles feel pretty underwhelming by refusing it incorporate some new stuff.
I'll keep an eye on the game. Battlefront wasn't unforgivably shit IMO, but it felt like it should have been a $20 downloadable game, not a full priced release. If they manage to fix the problems and actually have a worthwhile amount of content to back it up, I could see it maybe being worth buying.

I can't see them removing Starcards, that is a core mechanic
I can see them removing vehicles as tokens, but not power ups.

They added a few weapons that were not from the movies in the game in the DLCs and free updates.
And Sullust wasn't seen in the movies, only mentioned.

Ah. I never actually got the game, so I didn't know about the updates.
And I totally forgot about Sullust, but that's kind of what I wanted to see more of.

They even added the Imperial Heavy Repeater and Bryar pistol from the Dark Forces series.
