I was fearing this.
Good thing it looks nothing like dead rising and I can just forget it.
It looks great.
If anything will do good in the market right now is a well executed zombie game.
Weren't the others 'exclusives' as well?
What the fuck, Dead Rising and dark/desaturated colors don't mix
Weren't the others 'exclusives' as well?
2 wasn't
The demo had a windows notification sound beep up during gameplay, how can it be an exclusive.
this isn't the dead rising I know
This is not Dead Rising.
This is a reskinned Resident Evil.
Fuck you, Capcom and Capcom Vancouver.
This is not Dead Rising.
Dead Rising was all about being silly and over-the-top, you make a Dead Rising game serious, you take away it's soul, you've created just another zombie game.
Not a big loss. Besides, DR2 looks much better than this.
Dead Rising is now a zombie.
Nope. Sorry. You killed it.

It's not even fucking Resident Evil. Resident Evil at least still has a b-movie charm to it.
Exclusivity is going to hurt the video game market. Titles are going to get separated between platforms, You want Dead Rising, well you need to get an Xbox one, want next batman arkhyam game, you need a PS4.
If you want to play the games you want and love, you're going to need both consoles, plus, keep your PS3 plugged in to play your PS3 games, your 360 to play your xbox games, and your PS2 if you still play some PS2 games, (I still play Tony Hawk's Underground).
Comparing to the PC that will play games from nearly 20 years ago, (blood, shadow warrior, duke nukem) and spreading to other platforms like Mac and Linux.
Reskinned exclusive Resident evil 6, no thanks. I'll stick with dead rising 2
Only on the console that's half a thousand dollars!
Don't miss out on this one.
Guys: don't worry. I have the Zombrex you need:

That's what Dead Rising is. There are plenty of dark zombie games, but I want more of this!
And also for further consideration, Dead Rising 2's original E3 trailer.

i don't understand all the hate this is getting, it looks fine to me

also how are people surprised that they are touting it as an exclusive for the new xbox console when DR1 was also an exclusive for the new xbox console at the time
during the demo at the conference the game made a windows sound so it's probably not really even an exclusive
use your heads, people
I honestly thought this looked awesome.
How is Dead Rising focused around being goofy when DR1 was actually a pretty seriously-toned game. Dead Rising 2 was like the Left 4 Dead 2 to Left 4 Dead 1. It had more variety, implemented features that the first game didn't have, but fell when it came to actual polish, atmosphere, and story-telling. Left 4 Dead 2 is a better game for people who didn't care about polish and story, and just wanted more toys top play with; Dead Rising 2 falls under that category as well. But Dead Rising 1 is far from a goofy game.
The game still clearly plays like the previous games do, you can tell just by looking at it. Many of the animations are still the same and it looks like weapons still handle pretty much the same as well. Just because they made the atmosphere different and not restricted by the interiors of malls and casinos doesn't mean it's bad.
This game looks fucking awesome, and I'm pretty ticked that it's an Xbox One exclusive. I hope it fails so they're forced to bring it to PC.

Because Capcom has been known lately for releasing their zombie titles on Steam. Dead Rising 2, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil: Raccoon City, and Resident Evil Revelations are all on Steam and have been planned to be on Steam since their launch. (emphasis on "planned" because RE6 took months to make it to PC.)

or they were showing the video using windows.
I have a gut feeling that DR3 won't have any malls to explore.

It has a serious tone in the story, but gameplay wise it is centered around humor. In a game where you can be a cross-dressing photographer or a dad running around in his underwear, the tone clearly isn't focused on seriousness.
DR2 had better gameplay at the sacrifice of a shitty story.
DR3, however, appears to take all of that and throws it out the window. The gameplay looks "gritty and serious" and no mention on plot yet.
Honestly this does not look like a DR game. Dead Rising has become the very thing it has been parodying.

They went through so many environment changes before DR2's release....
I hope its not an exclusive because I'm not getting the new XBox

And how do you know we can't do that in DR3 yet?

yeah because in resident evil it's open world, and you can sucker punch zombies, throw them huge distances, football tackle, and do flips?
give me a break
it's like everyone that watched this didn't actually see what was happening they were just too distracted by the more realistic graphics to realise it seems as wacky as ever.
And how do you know we can't do that in DR3 yet?
I'll admit, we don't.
But if we can the tone of this game is all over the place and doesn't look nearly as fun as DR2 or OTR

my point remains that the character movement in 3 looks almost exactly the same as in the first, which leads me to believe the arcadey gameplay has returned.
