One of the reasons why i don't use geforce experience, i'd hate if it automaticly updated my drivers to this.
One of the reasons why i don't use geforce experience, i'd hate if it automaticly updated my drivers to this.
It's not automatic, it just changes the taskbar icon and has optional notifications that are off by default.
For my laptop it shows newest update is 362. When is Vulkan for laptops?
I was too lazy to update just yesterday
Alright then, I won't install the latest drive
Well I'll be damned. I saw the update yesterday but decided not to install it because it included the Vulkan API. I'm not sure if these problems are related, but I figured if there's one driver update that has the potential to be fucked up it's this one. Glad I decided to wait and see if any news popped up.
I've updated already and had no issues at all with it. I'm not sure what causes the issue.
I've updated already and had no issues at all with it. I'm not sure what causes the issue.
Some people say its with multi-moniter setups that it goes crazy on- not entirely sure though.
Some people say its with multi-moniter setups that it goes crazy on- not entirely sure though.
I updated with dual monitors just fine with a clean install and I've seen several others who have done the same fine, so maybe it just requires clean installs?
I had to use ddu because I remember a year back one of the drivers left my pc in a black screen, simply uninstalling the previous driver is not enough apparently.
That's only if you use express install, if you do clean install no issue. The driver actually solved issues with gtav
I searched for an older driver to roll back to, I dont want this problem to happen, but the only driver that comes up in search is exactly this one. I got a GTX 770. Havent had any problems as of now but I dont want to risk my computer getting fucked.
Oh, explains why I've been getting BSOD by trying to Remote Desktop into my PC at home, rip.
So this is what's causing XCOM 2 to freeze my entire machine halfway through missions.
It can? So far so good though, although I do never restart my computer. :v:
I've updated already and had no issues at all with it. I'm not sure what causes the issue.
I use 3 monitors and had no issue
That's only if you use express install, if you do clean install no issue. The driver actually solved issues with gtav
You realize clean install just erases prof files right? Literally all it does. There's no such thing as a clean install using the regular installer.
You realize clean install just erases prof files right? Literally all it does. There's no such thing as a clean install using the regular installer.
Nvidia said it themselves that it would solve the issue. I dont have issues with my driver.
Did it to me, I had to safe mode it and revert back. not fun.
Nothing yet on my end, but I know how it is whenever NVIDIA drivers fuck up. Hell, I'm pretty sure one set of drivers actually killed the 580 I used to have. Funnily enough, even though people complain more about AMD's drivers, I've always had less issues with their drivers than I ever have with NVIDIA drivers. Or, at least, much less serious issues.
You realize clean install just erases prof files right? Literally all it does. There's no such thing as a clean install using the regular installer.
That may be so but there's been lots of reports of people getting past the issue by doing so, myself included.
Not the first time this happened with NVIDIA recently. What makes it more ironic is how hot AMD cards have been running lately. A complete reversal.
They just released the beta version 364.51 that has a fix for the BSOD/Black screen issue.
