I don't think this is a case of them taking content out because chaging character probably wouldn't have worked in the singleplayer story. This is a case where the just built DLC while making the main game. However it's still kinda douchebaggy.

Remember when DLC was actually created after the game was released and not created alongside the main game, with a few exceptions(Valve, Bethesda with Fallout 3)
They can go fuck themselves. I ditched out 80 bucks for the collector's pack and now they expect me to spend another 10 bucks for content that was created during the initial development.

What's the mona lisa bug?
2K has been doing this for a long time now: 4 DLC packs for Borderlands and already 6 for Bioshock 2.
It's obvious this is an integral part of their business model at the moment.
Both Kane and Lynch 2 and Mafia 2 seem to be doing this, games that get mixed reviews followed in a few weeks by torrents of DLC that seem to have been removed from the games rather than actual additions to the games.
