WEll, my brother got a new computer a while back, it was built, and it had a BSOD. So, my big brother took it for a while and did absolutely nothing. So, I got it back yesterday and ran it in my room flawless. So, I took it back to his room, hooked it up, and the only thing different is his surge protector and monitor. Could one of these be the cause of the BSOD?
monitors don't cause BSODs and power-related problems don't either
It was running flawlessly in my room for 4 hours yesterday, and I was using the internet and running Starcraft, which I tried to do while it was in his room and it just BSoDs.
Install linux
Post error code.
Mine does the same thing.
Post yours to then.
I got it fixed, somehow, the default monitor refresh rate was set at 59 hz, I set it to 60 and it hasn't crashed since.
monitors don't cause BSODs and power-related problems don't either
Uhm,. no. Monitors can cause a BSOD. A BSOD is just a general term for a kernel halt. Power fluctuation can cause this too. Only takes 1/100th of a second of a power interruption to crash your PC.
