I'm thinking of cancelling Sky and getting a Freesat+ HD box that will basically function like my Sky+ HD box currently does. I've made a list of what I'm looking for (in order of priority):
*Good GUI - Basically what the [URL="http://www.feh-mi.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Sky-EPG-Pic.jpg"]Sky EPG was like with the mini TV off before the 2012 update.[/URL] I'm not a fan of the mini TV in the upper right a lot of EPGs seem to use, I'd like a box that lets you turn this feature off and fill most of the screen with listings.
*IPlayer and 4oD - Other catch up players would be nice as well, although not crucial. They must be separate from the EPG though, not just integrated into the backwards scrolling feature of some boxes.
*Good remote control - As close to the Sky+ HD remote as possible. It must be able to control the volume of my Samsung home theater without switching modes. I'm also open to suggestions of 3rd party controllers.
*Not annoying - Related to the first point. I'm not happy with the recent change Sky made to the EPG (adding the home screen). I want to get in and out of the EPG/Planner/VOD as quickly as possible.
*Responsive - Basically every TV box I've used has been a POS in this regard. There must be someone out there who makes boxes that don't freeze/crash/run slow.
*Series link - I assume this would come as standard?
*Two satellite and two terrestrial tuners - Big ask, I understand it may not be possible. I can receive Saorview where I live and would like to watch these channels without worrying about yet another box, controller and additional equipment to convert to VGA and 3.5mm audio.
I'm also open to custom built solutions.

I'm thinking of getting a Humax Foxsat-HDR. Going by reviews, it seems to be the only decent box that does most of what I want. The remote will still be an issue I expect. Anyone got any suggestions for a universal remote that functions like the Sky remote (changes the volume of my home theater whilst still in Sky mode) or a translator device that would allow me to use my Sky remote.
