Borderlands gives me a AppHangb1, Can't play it.

2. Work on a "workaround" of the splash screen and dump the entire game on to starting full screen, hopefully there is something in C:\Users\*NAME*\Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config to do this

3. provide the developers, mod team, etc crash dump files and other cool things I hardly understand

4. wait 1 week for a update/patch

Launching from steam, the game starts and puts itself into the memory and does not respond seconds after the splash screen, the borderlands banner, and I sit there on the desktop. Windows throws me a "Apphangb1" when I check up on it with task manager. nothing happens I just sit there forever if I wanted too

ALL my games that have splash screens do not play, so this has to be the problem with C++ and I will post back if it works or not. only modern game I can play is Crysis, and all my Valve games. Dead Space and Mirrors edge does the same thing Borderlands does

Yes yes, i did the damn 'restart steam' after decryption and all that mumble jumbo and verified steam cache over 7 times, I've done all that even re-download the game for the second time

I have been wondering around this forum for a solution but everyone has a bit of a different problem that can be solved by drivers and restarting steam, this is not the case. I have done just about everything, my last and final solution is to format my hard drive and do the process over again. if that does not work I'll just get a refund.

I was really hoping to play this game, if I find a solution or more details I'll gladly post them for anyone with the same problem. Anyone got somthing to say throw me a bone
