Good to see there will be a dub.
He'll pick a Charizard from Professor Oak
I'm assuming he means Charmander? :v:
It's crazy to think that it's old enough as a series to have to have 'Origins'.
Is it worth it? Surely you may as well just play the games. No doubt I'll watch it though :D
I'm assuming he means Charmander? :v:
Nah, Oak just stopped being a pussy.
...why do I wanna see this?
Oak sure gained weight
Lol, why does he have a voldemort nose? Huh, he also looks much older in Origins.

This brings back memories of the original Pokemon show when Ash was just starting out his journey. In a way he was sort of that world's version of Red, though I haven't followed the franchise in years so I dunno if Ash ever crossed paths with the actual Red. Speaking of which, do you think Nintendo should do a Pokemon game that follows the story of the old show, like with Misty and Brock as "party members"?
OH THANK GOD! I'm so sick of watching the series follow Ash. I just watched him beat Brycen in the Unova region while at a TOTAL type disadvantage. He can manage this just fine, but ask him to take down the pokemon league, and suddenly he's the worst trainer imaginable. So glad to see them follow a trainer with some actual talent. Plus I'm curious as to how to the story is going to be handled.

Is it me, or does Red look like a huge queer? To be honest I preferred Ash and co.'s character design (as far as looks)
Seeing as how they show Red using his Charmander against Brock in the trailer, we're still going to have to suffer at least a little stupidity.
I don't mind it happening once in awhile. Maybe during a match when the trainer's pokemon in particular has a grudge against its opponent. You know, emotional motivation to go above and beyond to win in the end. But it happened several different times in Unova alone in ash's case. I mean for fucks sake, he sent Leavanny against Roxie's poison types. Any trainer with half a brain (and even more so in ash's case due to his "experience") would have brought a psychic or steel type to that gym and curb stomped Roxie in no time at all.
Oak sure gained weight
It is more true to his design in the game.
Isn't the other series still going on?

This anime has no connection to the Saturday morning version of Pokemon AKA the official anime. This is a 4 episode special based on the original Red and Blue/Green games, so the characters and sucha re different from their official anime counterparts; Red is Red, not Ash here, and Blue is Blue, not the fabulous Gary with his legion of Cheerleaders.
15 years does a lot to a man.
I assumed because it is called Origins and it's based off one of the first/the first game(s) he would be younger if anything?
Wonder if they will put green in, she wasnt in the game but was in the manga.
Wonder if they will put green in, she wasnt in the game but was in the manga.
No, they won't. Gen 1's female character only existed in concept art that the manga decided to borrow from. There's no chance she'll suddenly pop up when most of the people that are going to be watching this won't even know who she is.
I hope the pokespe manga will get it's own tv series one day.

Jesus, I haven't watched the show or even played a Pokemon game in so many years. But, I might check this out purely for nostalgia's sake.
