Whenever I try to get into my Mac OS X, it seems to get stuck at the loading screen with the apple logo. It just loads, I just tried to leave the computer on for 1 hour. Didn't get any progress at all. It worked a few days ago, currently using dual booting with windows. I can enter Windows (W7) without a problem, but I can't seem to get in to OS X. And if this is in the wrong section, move it then.

Also I got this computer by my high-school, and have some important school work on it that I don't want to loose. I don't think this is related to that I installed windows. OS X installed somekind of update, can't remember what it was, but it required the laptop to be rebooted. I tried to google my problem, but nothing comes up that is near my problem. There is related but not good enough for my problem. Anyhow... Thanks in advance.
Put the Mac disk you got with it in the drive (possibly while in W7 if you can't any other time) and boot off of it (It'll be an option next to your Macintosh HD and Windows while holding option at start-up). Then recover it, which I assume you can do. That's the only thing I can think of, if you can't get into Mac at all then I have no clue.
It could be worth going to a genius bar in an apple shop with it, I've heard they're great there. You're choice, good luck.
Plug it into a power source, and if possible plug it into a router to see if it's trying to get an update.
I tried doing what VassikinX3 said, but no prevail.. Oh and we didn't get a Mac OS X cd/dvd with the laptop. Anyhow, thanks for the help so far.
you kinda need that CD...
i'm assuming there's a repair option if you stick in the OSX disk? try getting a disk and trying that
Well, I solved it. It was because of the update, it changed some privileges so it couldn't start up properly, at least that what the tech guy in my school said.
that makes no sense
How did you change the priviliges without booting up the OS X ?
