New England chat thread, I'm sure there's plenty of you bastards living around here so come on in, bitch about the snow and worship Dunkin Donuts. Whether you're here now, once lived here or plan on living here all are welcome!
Tell us where you're from or don't, we should definitely organize some kind of meet though because it's not like it's too big an area.
If you can make a better OP please do and send it to me and I'll edit it in

western massachusetts represent!!
additionally, this past summer i was up in northern maine, also toured baxter state park. absolutely beautiful place.
Glad someone finally acknowledged it, you'd think with all of the movies and popculture referenced around here that we'd get more recognition. Where in Western mass are you bud?
bristol county! rehoboth, not too far from taunton and swansea. it's not an amazing town but it's pretty peaceful for sure.
not necessarily related to new england specifically, but i thought i'd share;
about a year or so ago i met a fellow fan of my favorite band (Ima Robot) and we became best friends, then i found out he lived like fifteen minutes away from me which was pretty crazy. we now hang out (or try to) regularly. small world considering i rarely meet anyone from mass!
get the fuck in, my Massachusetts people
Southern New Hampshire here. I enjoy no sales tax.
Can you guys send me some chowdah?
Thanks

I cross three state lines to get to your walmart because it's actually the closest

i live in MA about 15 minutes from Salem and do all my shopping there haha it owns
Fun Fact: according to the state, going to NH to buy items in order to avoid sales tax and bringing the items into Massachusetts constitutes smuggling
Eastern CT represent (I'm in the Last Green Valley)

I have a couple buddies that swear on their life that on black friday and the general christmas season that they've been pulled over by nh cops and MA staties coming back from nh with cars full of shopping bags and getting fined for it, idk if I buy it but it'd make sense especially with MA plates
The Vermont winter has not been kind this year
Im from northern CT, like I could run to MA and be only a little tired when I get there.
I consider myself wholly New England :v:

never heard of anything like that honestly, I've pretty much grown up doing that exact thing. I go to the Rockingham Mall all the time and it's never happened to me nor anyone I know. I guess it's possible, but I personally doubt it

I have you beat, my backyard is in MA.
Anyone here from Vermont?
what the fuck is a "vermont"
[QUOTE=FFStudios;51548241]what the fuck is a "vermont"[/QUOTE]
It's New Connecticut

Just got clarification on this from a buddy who is a state trooper (on the MA side, but still) in case you were still curious.
No New Hampshire state trooper would ever pull over someone returning to Massachusetts with shopping bags in their vehicle. Not only do they not have probable cause to initiate a traffic stop based on that fact, but state legislation has specifically created grey areas and loopholes involving interstate commerce.
My buddy put it this way: New Hampshire businesses are allowed to purchase ad space in Massachusetts and broadcast their ads live on TV and radio, explicitly advertising their business as "located in tax-free New Hampshire." You can bet your ass that if they were actually inclined to fine people for dodging the sales tax, that they would not allow the use of the phrase "located in tax-free New Hampshire" on Massachusetts airwaves
As someone who grew up in NH and moved to California I miss it a lot.
Especially the lack of tax lol

Also woooooo noreaster tomorrow!
I work at Dunkins and it made me hate Dunkins. I know that's sacreligious to say, but honestly, Dunkins coffee is fucking piss
[editline]29th December 2016[/editline]
Also, Wellesley people are rich entitled cunts and they all suck
Cumbys coffee is leagues better than Dunkin's and Cumbys is one of the things i miss most going to school in the South.
Mainah heah, who's ready to get killed by this storm? Im driving home from my girlfriend's on 95 probably when it starts. :v:
Philly folks love to brag about Wawa but Cumby's does everything Wawa does but better imho
Cumby's food, the actual branded shit like the chicken burritos and steak and cheese subs are pretty damn good even if they're terrible for you. Wawa food tasted like ass last time I went to one.

I'm glad I shoveled the driveway a few hours ago. That hard work ultimately did make quite a difference in the end

All we fitness some shitty rain mixed with wet snow and now it has all turned to ice
[editline]30th December 2016[/editline]
Just started to snow again my body is ready
damn i missed all this activity, yeah the storms were shit I do snow removal and run plows at Greenfield Community College so i've been busy with that and work and shit, i'm glad yesterday was just a fuck ton of rain instead of another eight inches of snow
Finally, a good snow cover. That's what I've been waiting for all season lol. It must suck if you work with snow removal but it's amazing if you have access to a sauna cause you can sit in the sauna then jump in the snow and it's the best fuckin feeling
fawkin sawnahs, dood. fawkin amayzin in the fawkin wintah dood.
the word "mingya" is big up here. it's like a noun, an adverb (mingin'), adjective, expletive, and just general utterance. it means everything and nothing
this last "storm" I got like an inch if that, whereas my buddy in fall river got upwards of a foot and a half
Shit England dropping in for a second, whats up with Connecticut?
