Trying to convert m4a files to 128kbps mp3s, but now an entire album isn't recognized

I've been trying to convert a bunch of m4a's into 128kbps mp3s, but when I do it to Nine Inch Nails' Ghosts I-IV, the converter doesn't register any track names, album names or track lengths. They still convert, but the mp3 player I put them on can't see them. It does the same to The Slip too. Is there some sort of, uh, "something" encoded into the files to cause this?
Most of the time when converting music to MP3, the ID3 tags aren't conserved.
dbpoweramp converter
It conserves the tags.
But why 128? that's shit quality.
384kbps is where it's at
Oops, I forgot about this thread. The reason I need to convert it to 128kbps is because it pretty much halves the file size, which is important because I'm trying to fit 800+ songs onto a 4GB mp3 player.
Also, I figured out how to fix this, I just changed the import settings in iTunes to 128kbps mp3 and clicked "Create mp3 version" for the songs I wanted. Hopefully this will help anyone else who runs into the same problem.
