I know the entire song is three chords, but WHAT ARE THEY. The tabs I find say it's D, Bm, and A, but that sounds wrong.

sounds like D Bm G to me, but with some variation. i've never learned sevenths and ninths and that stuff but especially the G has something like that going on

Someone told me it's a D, Bm7, and Gadd9, so I assume he's correct based off of both of you suggesting it.

That Gadd9 is fucking hard to play. I hate barre chords :(
