these are prototypes for a process by which to make toys. the actual design of the toy is irrelevant, it just needs to look presentable.

Also, post-Disney Disney made lots of recognizable original characters.

I wish I had a 3D printer, anyway. I would print models of my favorite animation characters. Put them around my house. Damn, I'd be bankrupt in a week.

I came in here expecting some sort of weird marketing scheme, but this is actually kind of cool. Really goes to show what sort of things all this 3D printing technology will give us when it matures.
