OK Facepunch, Here we go! I am currently in charge of choosing what Android phones my family gets and oh my god, if there is not a lot of choice. My family consists of the following My dad (a reporter) My mom (an architect) Me. As I have been looking at phones I have realized two things. A, there are a lot of them and B. you can't get consensus on anything. So, I am dropping the responsibility on you, users of Facepunch. My father will need something that is tough, has a big screen, is good at Gps and has very few moving parts. My mother is looking for something with a vibrant screen, good camera and is good at email. I am looking for something kind of cutting edge. Lots of power, big screen, I am currently looking at the Atrix and the Galaxy S II. It would be better if it w We are not tied down by service. Also, if you live in Los Angeles, do you like your current service. I am fairly sure but, not completely sure that I am being correct in my writing my question like this and putting it here. I am new to FP and forums in general so, if I did something wrong, Please tell me. Thank you in advance
You would like the new HTC Sensation Your mother would want something with a keyboard for emailing, if not then I would reccommend the HTC Desire. And im not sure for your father, as the htc desire HD has a big screen, but a bad battery.
Samsung Galaxy S II for everyone
HTZ desire Z for your dad so he can type up his reports ON THE FLY :eng101:
Seriously, go with Samsung Galaxy S II. It's not just a great phone, it's not prone to fuck up. HTCs have mysterious and weird faults that workshops can't find or fix, like dropping connection randomly, restarts etc, but so far I haven't noticed anything like that in the SII. And if it fucks up, Samsungs routines are way better than HTC, miles better. But that's just here in Sweden. Oh, and also, I work as an aftersales manager at a big electronics store. I deal with all broken shit and returns and calling workshops and shit, and trust me, HTC has just been a pain in my asshole, for over a year now. And I just want to add that HTC makes great phones, when they work! Good luck
galaxy S II or I for you or your mum, i have the galaxy S I and its amazing. ive used the second one and its even better. it does everything.
Samsung Galaxy S II
Samsung Galaxy S II I would say there seems to be a general consensus :v:
Thank you all, this is incredibly informative. One last question Mister Gurant, Whatcha think of the Atrix?
