• I think I installed a GPU wrong:

Hey guys. So before I start, I'll list my build to see if that'll help identify the problem: - SLi Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 TwinFrozr 2GB - Intel i7 3770 3.4GHz - 16GB RAM (2x8) - ThermalTake Toughpower 775W PSU (Modular) - Not sure what Mother Board I have right now. I have what maybe an idea of the issue, which is the second graphics card is connected slightly differently than the first. It begins from the red connection ending at the PSU to black at the graphics card, due to the use of an extender. The main reason I think I have an issue is for some reason when I visit certain areas in Borderlands 2 (while playing on Ultra) I get an FPS drop from 60 to 45-50, while my friends with worse builds maintain 60. Whatever you guys can help with is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
Can you take a picture of the rig? It might not be incorrect wiring though; try disabling SLI and see if the issue persists.
try running hwmonitor and check the temperatures as well.

Sounds like you're experiencing microshuttering. That's one of the downsides to multi GPU set ups.
Multi-GPU setups are horseshit in my experience. Had 6870x2 and 680GTX x2, both experienced these issues, and I could have sworn that I was seeing 40ish FPS while my GPU's were theoretically outputting twice that number. It looked shit, but the fps was pretty high, it was pretty confusing.

This is why I only ever use a single high end GPU.

Try taking it out and running your 2nd 770 as a single card.
