Nice :) It has more gore then GTA.
Half-Life 1 when I was 9 :v:
Wow, those scenes started getting freaky in that Mine/cave place.
Silent Hill Only the first. Others were lame in comparison
Holy shit those were scary, I'm not sure which game was scariest

Quake 4. Seeing your legs getting sawed off is not fun.
HL2 EP2 SPOILER WARNING!! Half-Life 2: Episode 2, specifically the part where Eli dies. Alyx was replaced by ALW, though, and of course I was Gordon.
Can't say as I've ever had nightmares because of a video game, but 'The Immortal' was an awesome game that had some pretty cool death scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4a2LpbPbu4 Sorry for the link, but embedding is disabled for the vid.
Half Life 1, Doom 1, and Quake 1 & 2...
The game which i just lost because of the damn thread title :argh:
My grandma bought me Resident Evil 2 when I was about 6 years old. She didn't know what it was. I shat bricks.
The first time I found the flood in halo 1, with a friend. I was like, dunno, little and had no idea what they were. But I knew they were parasites from what the crazy marine said, so we spent the night talking about what they were, theorizing how they work and crap like that. I was disappointed when we actually found out more about them, our theories were way better. Infection forms were either severed heads or mutant babies who had tentacles and floated with psychic energy caused by the torment they were under. We were sick kids.
Big Rigs I did actually dream about that. I was in a truck and suddenly the truck went 90 degrees instantly up into the air.
Half Life. I couldn't sleep for two years without checking under my bed for headcrabs first. :(
Resident Evil. I was only a young'un and those zombie dogs jumping through the windows scared me shitless. Edit: ZOMBIE DOGS LEAVE THIS PLACE

I had nightmares from this last night, seriously.
Silent Hill 4. The others are damn scary too, but the ghosts in four really take the cake as the wierdest things ever.
PAC-MAN! :v:

I love that picture. It's a t-shirt, right?
Monopoly.
OK, that YouTube video was just gory
:crying:DEFCON:crying:
Never had a nightmare based on a video game. Closest I've had was a Resident Evil dream that somehow managed to be based off a horror game, yet had no horror in it.
Wow, those scenes started getting freaky in that Mine/cave place.
Agreed, some of those were really disturbing. Does anyone else think old games like Doom and Waxworks are a lot scarier than new games? I think the fact the graphics are less detailed leaves everything to the imagination. New games, with all their fancy graphics effects, give you lots more detail in the gore and whatever, so you just look at it. But imagining a wizard casting some spell on you that makes your body age by centuries, dropping dead from weakness, that's scary.
I don't think any games have given me any nightmares that I remember. I think there was one game but I can't remember the name. It was only rated Teen but it was freaky in ways that other Mature rated games weren't. :tinfoil: Something like "The <insertmythicalobjecthere> of Time". It was based on some book.
