Decided to not get surgery and just lose it naturally. Thank you. I've been wondering about this surgery, if i should get it, I have a BMI of 33 (sup im fat). The price isn't expensive here in Canada, I can pay monthly 300 bucks for 5 years, which is very affordable considering I live at home with my parents still, (18 years old). If you don't know what a lap-band surgery is it's basically a ring that makes a small stomach pouch, which induces being full very easily. Before you guys tell me to try a diet, workout etc, I've tried alot of diets and I walk alot, I just can't really seem to lose it, sure i'll lose some pounds but overtime it'll come back. What made me interested in this surgery is a friend i met that used to be 300+ pounds than lost it all in almost a year be cause of his gastric bypass, theres pretty awesome storys he tells me about it, like this one time he was full and he ate a cupcake and he felt sick because he was too full. So he threw it up and this is the sweet thing about it - The taste of eating a cupcake going in tastes the same going out! (because it's not mixed with stomach acid and shit because its in the other stomach pouch.) but thats not the reason i want the surgery lol, if it was i'd be a fucking idiot. So fp, know anyone whos got this kinda stuff done? or maybe yourself? I don't even know if i will do it now, maybe a thing in the future if stuff doesn't work out too well. This video is pretty much explains it, and yes it looks so scammish like diet pills haha! Read This : let me make my self clear, I said i don't even know i'll do it, maybe in the future if nothing works out the way i want it to be, don't know why you guys are making it a big deal.
I thought the title said something about a lap dance :saddowns:
My BMI is around 33, but I'm not a fatass and am in no need of this. Why would you be? Get off your ass and work-out. And if you think it doesn't work, it does. It works better than that lap-band ever will.
A musical composition of only laps
Look, I'm a fat prick myself, but even I know that if you want to lose weight, you lay off the fucking McDonalds. You don't go to a bunch of fraudsters who only suckered you in because they have a corner on the billboard market. Don't be a pussy, you want to be skinny, you work out and eat your spinach.
If it is to the point that even proper diet and exercise is helping, surgery is a good alternative. but really, you should be so self conscience about being fat. I am fat, and I don't care; yeah, I can't run the fastest, and really never dated any one, but I live how I want to live. So, think about your true intentions before getting it.
My mom got it, be prepared to be able to eat almost nothing but a cup of food at a time.
The lazy expensive way to lose weight sure

If it's legit and not expensive.. why not? SUCH A FRAUD
Or you could realize that its in your genetics for you to be overweight and learn to live with it. Much rather than starving yourself with small amounts of food.

A BMI of 33 most certainly does not warrant invasive surgery.
A BMI of 33 most certainly does not warrant invasive surgery.
it's minimaly invasive
My dad has this right now. It isn't a fool proof way of losing weight. He lost a bit at first, but you quickly learn to work around the limitations it imposes on you. Really, I think it isn't a good idea...he can't eat very much, and if he has some tough food (like too much meat) he feels awful and has to vomit. It basically ruins every meal for him. The gastric bypass is a more serious surgery. I'm not sure what complications can arise from such a procedure, although my dad mentioned that a lady at his office lost most of her hair from it because she failed to consume enough vitamins (you need to consume a lot more due to the lost efficiency). The hair grows back apparently...but it requires a careful diet plan. Sometimes you just have to change the situation around you to make health choices. The all-you-can-eat buffet meal plan my college forced me to buy for my freshman was not conducive to a weight loss goal, nor was my mom's habits of feeding my siblings and I prior to that. Next semester may be my best opportunity yet..no over generous mother...no meal plan...just whatever food I can afford to stock in the kitchen and bother to cook.
A cheap alternative would be to just jog everyday.
it's minimaly invasive
Any amount of invasiveness is unnecessary for your current weight. If you simply cannot lose weight, just accept the fact that it's most likely genetic and get over it. Unless it's legitimately making your life difficult, it doesn't matter as much as you think it does.
Quit being lazy and lets do some fabulous exercises.
fuck yea get it and you will be two steps closer to being a cyborg ninja you also wont be allowed into airports
Just get off the computer and work out.
This is completely unnecessary surgery -- ZERO need at your age. You can lose weight naturally, but the problem is simple: you're eating too much and you're exercising too little. This is a procedure for old people. [editline]11:46PM[/editline]
Quit being lazy and lets do some fabulous exercises.
Get off your ass and go run 2 miles instead.
My friend that got it is my age and he loves it.
Why would you get surgery unnecessarily
Quit being lazy and lets do some fabulous exercises.
You tell'm Richard!
I think my cousin had something similar to this and he lost a lot of weight.
Or you could realize that its in your genetics for you to be overweight and learn to live with it. Dude, I've lost somewhere around 50 pounds since last December. Just get off your ass and exercise. Also, you're probably eating waaay more than you realize. Oh, and another thing, lay off soda. Worked for me.
