• Thinking of dropping the iPhone for an Android?

My iPhone contract is almost up, I'm definitely sick and tired of the terrible contracts that these carriers are able to get away with simply because they have the iPhone. Right now I'm looking at getting an Android. I used a galaxy s the other day and was blown away by how good it was, I always though that android phones were basically upgraded windows mobile clones but now I'm thinking that they're better than iphones. Anyways what android phones should I look at?
It really depends what you are looking for, If you have the money go for the high end phones, such as the galaxy S, go for it. I do suggest you avoid motorola phones due to the locked bootloaders.
Samsung Galaxy S 2. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1084483-Review-Samsung-Galaxy-S-II
I'd say go for a Galaxy S or S II phone. Those phones are excellent stock but with custom roms they can really kick ass.
The LG Optimus 2X and 3D is worth adding to the list of looking at.
I'm dropping Symbian and going Android next week, good luck on your own journey to better lands.
I'm dropping my Iphone 3GS and getting a Galaxy S II once it comes out for AT&T in 'Murica. If you need convincing, http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/28/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-review/
Either get a Galaxy S II (as it's the best Android phone on the market so far) or wait for the HTC Pyramid if you prefer HTC's
yeah im thinking about dropping my linux for a windows why do people think "an android" is okay
yeah im thinking about dropping my linux for a windows why do people think "an android" is okay
It's like when people say droid, they mean an android phone. Doesn't really bother me.
If it's a 3GS, I'll swap you my XPERIA X10 for it.
I like android's little mascot thing. Apple doesn't have that, and a little apple thing would suck.
Is the Galaxy S2 already released? I'm on AT&T and I have a shitty phone right now, and I'm eligible for an upgrade and I haven't decided what I want yet.
Whatever you do, don't buy an LG Ally. I fucking hate it.
Whatever you do, don't buy an LG Ally. I fucking hate it.
It's a fine phone for what it is, it's low end but you should research something of this value before you just buy it imo.
I've never had any problems with LG phones, and my Optimus S is holding itself together well.
