I haven't brought one yet, although looking forward to buying a digital one in the near future!
What model is your SLR and could you please write a quick review about it.
Cheers, Blue.
Here is some of my photography..

I would love to hear your thoughts!
No body uses SLR's anymore.
I have an old canon
I assume you mean film slr's right?
dunno about SLR's heh
I have a Pentax but I don't think you can buy them anymore and its light meter is broken. Go digital bro.
Word to the wise, don't sign your posts.
Go digital. Better idea, more storage.
my dads got an old pentax and flash gun
i have a canon slr for my photo class. It's really good, i prefer this to digital cameras because i feel like they're a little bit easier to use, it'll take a little while to get used to the whole shutter speed and F-stop thing though. I totally recommend it, and if you can, get yourself a digital SLR seeing as how you can see your photos after you take em.
I've got the typical Olympus 35mm SLR, use it for photo class.
Do you mean DSLR?
Also, I use the Canon EOS7D. Great camera all around, has good video capabilities as well. Friendly menus and ui/button layout once you get the hang of it. Here's some example pictures I've taken with it from my flickr. However, if you're just starting out I would recommend something like a Canon Rebel XTI.

I've had the opportunity to use an SLR when I took a nature photography class last year. I prefer digital to SLR personally. Don't take it from me though, I can't remember anything we were taught about cameras in that class. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Great look who posted
I too own a Canon 7D, it's a DSLR, fabulous camera if you know how to use it.

hi
get the rebel, it's the cheapest best thing you can get DSLR wise.

To be honest. If I were you I would buy a D40 and an awesome prime lens to go with it. Maybe a flash if you have enough :20bux: left over
Yes I use an Olympus OM-PC film camera. It takes good pictures but is a bitch to use.

Mother fucker I'm jealous. I have a canon 85mm 1.4
I have a DSLR and I love it. It's a Nikon D50. A bit old now, but still works great. Some of the photos I've taken with it are here: http://jessicabillings.weebly.com/photography.html
Here's a small sampling:

Been rocking an XSI. Great camera for what I use it for.
Would like a better lens though. The stock one is... alright.
Actually the D3000 replaced the D40 so get that.
Film:
-Expensiver
-Time consuminger
-Even more expensiver
-Still more expensiver
-Even more time consuminger
-Less freedom in post-processing
-Fewer pictures per go
-Don't fuck up your roll, or everything's gone
-If it jams, you're fucked
-You won't know how your pictures came out until you've developed the roll.
Digital:
-Lots of pictures.
-You can have a fully processed and high quality print within an hour (if you have a nice printer).
-You can see what you're doing and have instant feedback using the screen.
-The opposite of everything in film basically.
