have not played bf3 in like 6 months and i havent played any dlc becuase i outright refuse to pay another 60 dollars to get premium i paid 60 dollars for the game, like 20 on fuckin dr pepper bottles, and another 20 for limited edition and your idea of extending the game is trying to get me to pay another 60 dollars??

That aside, they are similar to expansion packs like Special Forces were for BF2 which was, imagine this, $15. That means there are 5 $15 expansions for Battlefield 3. That makes a total of $75. Premium is $50. You're getting a pretty good discount if you get it.
i dont care im not shelling out the price of the game that i paid for to get something that should've been included in the limited edition to begin with [editline]15th February 2013[/editline] it feels like a cheap f2p game where they try to beat every dollar out of you

The only expansion I've been put off of is Close Quarters, but a combination of Armored Kill/Aftermath has pretty much replaced standard Battlefield 3 for me.

And why did you pay another 20 bucks for limited when it's included. That's retarded. Premium is 50.
Why did you buy Dr Pepper for BF3? And why did you pay another 20 bucks for limited when it's included. That's retarded. Premium is 50.
I pre-ordered Limited, because I was so epicly hyped for Back to Karkand, which I fucking love in Battlefield 2. It was worth it. But then, Premium came out! Gladly I bought it through India's proxy, so it was cheaper than the europe's price(60 euro). Still, I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for Back to Karkand again.
Why did you buy Dr Pepper for BF3? And why did you pay another 20 bucks for limited when it's included. That's retarded. Premium is 50.
i bought the limited edition on release, a while before premium was even a thing.
Wait, the limited edition is simply a pre-ordered copy of the game. It should have only been $60. Premium is only $50. And why is it EA's fault you bought a lot of soft drinks? I'm so confused.

Limited edition was barely any more expensive than the regular one, were you expecting that it'll get you 60$ worth of DLC for like 10$?
Back to the DLC - I am looking forward to epic runaway in APC with whole enemy team chasing me. That'd be fun.:v:
It wasn't even more expensive, limited edition was just the regular game's pre-order.
i bought the limited edition on release, a while before premium was even a thing.
Limited edition you got for preordering or ordering very shortly after release at retail stores. Whoever sold it to you just fucked you in the ass. Or you're making shit up.

It's not like they released the DLC a month after release. It's been like a year. [editline]15th February 2013[/editline]
Limited edition wasn't supposed to give you anything, it was just the pre-order with a couple of free pre-order bonuses.
Limited edition got you Karkand for free.
Limited edition got you Karkand for free.
As I said, free pre-order bonus.
Also, air superiority mode? Fucking finally
so what about goty editions for games like fallout 3 or new vegas are they unfair too?
Devils advocate: It's kind of shitty paying $60 for BF3 then $40-$50 for Premium when a year later anyone can buy a new copy of the Premium Edition for $50 or $40 on sale. I love BF3 and am enjoying my newly-acquired premium service but it does sting knowing that I could have saved the equivalent of another game by simply waiting.

Nobody really complains about GOTY editions. The thing is, you end up paying more because you got to access it earlier. You payed 50 plus whatever addons you got, or you could wait several months and get the full thing for 50.
Premium edition is essentially the GOTY edition. Nobody really complains about GOTY editions.
I do. Then again I bitch about a lot of things so v:v:v

I can get a physical bf3 + premium copy for only 55$ but I won't because its owned by EA and because I also have to install ORIGIN.
I can get a physical bf3 + premium copy for only 55$ but I won't because its owned by EA and because I also have to install ORIGIN.
You sound like you took the majority of this forums' user base and combined into 1 ignorant asshole.
I can get a physical bf3 + premium copy for only 55$ but I won't because its owned by EA and because I also have to install ORIGIN.
Because a few people will change how EA works. Unless there is a massive coordinated effort to not buy one of EAs games then I would join in maybe. I still like their games so I still buy them. They occasionally fuck up a game like DS3, but i've had a boatload of fun with BF3, NFS MW 2012, while not really most wanted, was still an excellent NFS game, and SC5 was really fun in beta as well. Until then all you are effecting is yourself. And really, outside of lacking features and a lower game library, origin isn't really that bad. Doesn't require you to be online for most games (NFS MW 2012 and BF3 are examples), download speeds are higher than steam, and occasionally have pretty good deals. Just download your game, add the shortcut to steam, and don't bother with origin again.
