Lack of base-management and other aspects is worrisome. I honestly didn't mind the shift into first-person as long as they maintained everything else. Now though, I'm worried it's going to be just a linear story game, whereas I was hoping this was going to be original XCOM except in FPS form. Oh well, I'm still hopeful. The actual game looks unique enough from the drab modern military shooters we have now.
Their response to fans who said "this isn't X-com" was to say "fine, you want X-com?" and proceeded to make Mass Effect.
America is not the world? Of course it is! What else is there?
terrorists
i'm sure it'll be a fun game maybe it won't be as great as the xcom that i spent most of my teenage life playing but a good game is a good game

This game actually has an interesting style? It reminds me in a small bit of Prey.

As much as it deviates from the original games, I'm pretty excited for it.
