Disabled internet connection can't be re-connected?

So I was messing with the internet settings on my desktop the other day, and I went to disable the internet connection and start it back up for I can't remember why. I opened the connection up in the Network center and used the administrator disable button at the bottom. However, when I went looking to re-enable it, I couldn't find it anywhere. Attempts to create a new network failed, even though I have the PC still hooked up to the internet via an ethernet cable/router etc. I got an error message 651 when I tried connecting to my newly created broadband network sometimes, and other times I got no explanation for why the connection failed when i'm staring at a functional cable connection to the internet. Anyone have any idea what in the world's going on? I'm on windows 7, can't think of any other relevant specs to provide.
at Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections you should just be able to right click and click enable, it's right at the top of the list. If you actually uninstalled it, you might have to restart to get it to be detected again.
Yeah that's the thing, it's not even on the list any more. I've restarted the PC and the router and made sure the cable connection was fine and everything. The only connection I have available is just listed as "Broadband Connection" and when I try to connect to it I get "Error 651: the modem has reported an error." Modem's fine, have two other computers in the house hooked up to it. Basic search for what to do with it yields a million different answers.
Well nevermind, a system restore to before I disabled the connection fixed everything.
You could've simply restarted, or gone to device manager and re-enabled it...
