(CNN)Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump, said Monday that the administration will continue using the term "fake news" until the media understands that their "monumental desire" to attack the President is wrong.
"There is a monumental desire on behalf of the majority of the media, not just the pollsters, the majority of the media to attack a duly elected President in the second week of his term," Gorka, a former Breitbart editor who also holds a PhD in political science, told syndicated conservative radio host Michael Medved.
"That's how unhealthy the situation is and until the media understands how wrong that attitude is, and how it hurts their credibility, we are going to continue to say, 'fake news.' I'm sorry, Michael. That's the reality," he added.

Well I'll keep calling Trump a fake president until he admits Bannon/Putin are pulling the strings.

Do you think Trump really cares? He probably can't even read.
I like how they take honest reporting and some criticism as attacks.
Their way of thinking is dangerous.
Do you think Trump really cares? He probably can't even read.
You sure he doesn't care?

He should eat that degree in political science if he fails to understand WHY people hate him and his policies so much.
Breaking news: If somebody's policies and cabinet picks are shit, people who hate them are gonna call em out for being shit. All your whining about "fake news" isn't going to change a damn thing.
It's like he doesn't even realize we're going back surely to the days of lügenpresse.

I'd like to see his super secret stash of data, but I already know it's probably a folder full of blank papers.

Because they are FAKE BREIFINGS
These retards dogged on Obama for 8 years give me a fucking break
And yet trump supporters won't stop defending the man
We live in dangerous fucking times
A candidate who's been insulting, belittling and otherwise talking shit about everyone that doesn't lick his boot is now spending a good amount of time crying and whining about people resisting him.
Go die in a fire.
And yet trump supporters won't stop defending the man
They're okay as long as it makes liberals cry, regardless if it's at their own expense too.
Where were all those who say "fake news" before the elections?
No, just to know, because this is a over-the-straw ipocrisy.
So it was good to attack Obama but now is not good to attack Trump?
Sincerely, "land of the free" my ass. And for fucking real.

if anyone is surprised that the GOP are a bunch of hypocritical subhuman pond scum who would sell their own mothers to an organ harvesting operation for a bent nickle then they've been living under a rock for the past decade
"fake news" is better than alternative facts
"Attacking" the President, by which you actually mean criticizing the President, is the fucking duty of the patriot, Gorka, you fucking vodka muppet. Your boss can't handle being criticized and is throwing daily tantrums like a five-year-old, admit it.
Oh, and I looked up this dumb Hungarian fucker's wikipedia page:
Gorka was detained January 31, 2016 at the Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington D.C. for attempting to board a plane with 9mm handgun in his luggage. The gun was confiscated by Transportation Security Administration officers and Gorka was permitted to board his plane after showing his U.S. Department of Defense identification.[14] He was charged with a weapons offense. Gorka entered an Alford plea. The charges were dismissed on February 3, 2017 by Judge William T. Newman Jr., husband of Sheila Johnson, who is an acquaintance of President Donald J. Trump

Since 2014 Gorka has acted as editor for National Security Affairs for the Breitbart News Network.
[editline]also[/editline]
Also this bit from his wikipedia profile, (edit: which turned out to be a troll edit not supported by the reference it linked)
[del]In addition, he admires white supremacist teachings, believing the Ku Klux Klan is the "strongest advocate against Islamic extremism."[/del]
[del]So another Neonazi in the administration trying to suppress dissent and spread propaganda. Great.[/del]

There's a dangerous amount of sky-is-falling overreaction too, though, especially regarding things that don't differ much from his predecessors. There's plenty of legitimate stuff to criticize Trump about, but the way mainstream media has been freaking out over every little thing damages their credibility, reinforces Trump in the eyes of his supporters, and is creating a hostile relationship between the press and the White House even beyond what Trump's policies themselves would produce.
So yes, Trump's administration has a paper-thin skin and they take honest reporting and criticism as attacks. But there are also unwarranted attacks by prominent media institutions because panic sells, so they're not blameless in this.
We'll say 'fascist' until the president realizes that the attitude of attacking the media for criticizing him is wrong.

This made me question how the level of Freedom that there is in the United States.
Sure, nothing is attacking freedom right now, but with this stance put forward by the whitehouse, how much freedom is there?
My 4 month old cousin cries less than these idiots.
He should be president.
I suspected from the first WaPo report on "fake news" that the term would end up being used like this. Good job, leftist media outlets.

Pretty sure your 4 month old is more mature as well.

There has been some exaggeration done by smaller alt-media outlets but I wouldn't really call it dangerous to any degree. I also think his supporters don't think there are any legitimate stuff to criticize Trump with. That's the impression I've gained talking to them.

Blaming the left for the Trump administration calling anything that they don't like as fake news? I love the logic you have there.
Stop blaming the left and take responsibility for the person you helped vote into power.

lol what. leftist media isn't responsible for this mans stupidity.
During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times — or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.
He means the fact that as soon as you drop the words "fake news" to describe something that might be genuinely fake, it will be used by partisans like Trump against his political foes in journalism, namely everyone right now except Breitbart and maybe Fox who run stories critical of him.
Chonch knows it's not really fake news, he is saying the words "fake news" is radioactive to handle from anyones perspective and it's started to backfire on the left who initially pushed it against misleading "news" on social media that targeted conservatives.

Obama's foreign policy was terrible, why should I not be able to criticize Trump for doing what he did but on a larger scale? This "Obama did something similar so you can't criticize Trump" meme needs to die.
I suspected from the first WaPo report on "fake news" that the term would end up being used like this. Good job, leftist media outlets.
Trump genuinely believes all polls are made up and that the media is covering up terror attacks
He's a massive baby, he has consistantly been for years before he even considered the presidency. If it's not positive and feeding his ego, it's fake to him. You don't see him calling out Breitbart and Infowars for their bullshit because he is not actually concerned about quality news publications.
"Leftist media" isn't the bad guy here, and I'm actually a little concerned that he's spending a massive amount of time battling something that could be better spent tackling actual urgent issues in the country.

I see nothing about Trump's attendance in your quote.

as a go-to by everyone that once read a thing on facebook, it doesn't mean much at this point. get at me when trump goes to LESS intel meetings than obama by around the same time, then we can make an appropriate assessment of whether or not "he doesn't go to daily meetings though" holds up.
otherwise, we have had two presidents here that don't want to go to daily meetings. the criticism is valid but it's been a go-to ever since trump said it. it's like everyone suddenly woke the fuck up.
I see nothing about Trump's attendance in your quote.
You no longer have to defend Trump on the merits of Trump but on the flaws of those who oppose him.
