Depends on the game and what content is being offered.
Only game I bought a season pass for is Borderlands 2 and I haven't even played the basegame much so far.
Nope, and never will, for various reasons.
Never before release. Never bought a seasonpass since they are nearly always like "buy this seasonpass which is nearly the same price as the base game and perhaps you will get enough DLC to satisfy you, or we just release a heap of cheap weapon packs and some maps to keep you satisfied..."
If GTA V had a season pass i would probably get it, so far there is no game that really convinced me to get a season pass.
Only time I ever have is dark souls 2 AFAIK, because it had a clearly defined amount of content and I wanted it all
I only buy them after all the dlc had been released and is on sale unless I don't own the game yet and there's a "complete edition."
I've only bought a season pass twice and was thoroughly disappointed in both cases.
Who the fuck started the whole 'season pass' bullshit. Who thinks it's a good idea to support planned content-to-be before the game is even released.

I think it was borderlands 2 that offered it first iirc.

No
I only buy 'ultimate' 'goty' 'complete' editions now, when they're on sale for 5 bucks. Who the hell can afford 120 bucks for ONE game?

L.A. Noire did it first.

same for me, and because it was a game I played the hell out of
it better be an AMAZING GAME or screw it
Only time I've ever bought a season pass was for Saints Row The Third. Mind you it was almost a year after the game was released and the complete edition was not announced yet. I seriously would have been ripped off if I had bought the contents separately.
I have bought two season passes:
1. Bioshock Infinite's because it was on sale for less than Burial at Sea ep.1 was at the time
2. Titanfall for the same reason, it was on sale for less than buying the game and the first DLC (second and third hadn't released yet).
Also I've only ever preordered one game and I did that because it wasn't sold digitally and I wanted to be sure I got a copy of it, so I generally don't preorder stuff, especially add ons to other stuff, so you can forget about me preordering both at the same time.
I got titanfall deluxe with the season pass for about $40 on before it released. I also bought the season pass to black ops 2 because I enjoyed black ops 1's DLC and when the first content pack came out I bought it because I was going to buy all the DLC anyway. I don't buy season passes usually though I just buy the pieces of DLC I want.

or wait until the next year and get the "goty" edition
I only bought 1, and that was for Dark Souls 2 after the third DLC was out and all were confirmed to be good dlc content.
I got the Mario Kart 8 one because it gave an $8 discount that way, and it's an excellent game and extra content only makes it better. Also got the Hyrule Warriors DLC, because I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the game and the new content details were announced at the beginning (though they didn't actually add new maps which is a bummer and I misunderstood the DLC notes)
Other than that though I wouldn't buy a season pass unless it was a game I was really interested in. Season pass for something like Smash Bros or Pikmin? Defo Italy, as it just saves me a bit of money and I'd buy all the DLC anyway.
