Ukrainian reporter Roman Burko identified location of Russian military base in Lugansk. The photos were originally posted by pro-Russian terrorists Vadim Korolyov who is fighting against Ukrainian Army on his social page on December 28 2014. Here is a link to his profile https://vk.com/id199159091 He already deleted the photos when Roman Burko article was posted at informnapalm.org From the photos you can see that Russian Armored vehicles BPM-97 “Vystrel” that are only used in Russian Army units are located at the territory of “Transpele” transportation company, check their website gallery here http://www.transpele.com/?file=gallery There are also tanks, fuel trucks and GRADs (multiple rocket launcher systems).
The rebel got lost and ended up in Russia, and was only trying to help by taking pretty pictures of the snow

This isn't ominous at all.
Good job Vadim
The journalist did some good sherloking here
What the fuck is with people and social media. First some dumb fuck leaks coordinates of a terrorist military base, now some dumb fuck leaks this.
These fuckups seem to happen more and more often.
I think last year several Russian soldiers were posting selfies. The picture metadata showed them in the dead center of Ukraine's rebel territory. :v:

He is dead.
I'm imagining one of those old "Someone Talked!" propaganda posters, except instead of a sinking ship or other disaster, it's a picture of the Ukrainian flag flying over a peaceful countryside behind a secure border.

iirc there's a shirt you can by that says "Loose Tweets Sink Fleets"
Funny thing is this doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. It was never a secret that Russia's involved. They can deny it all day long, we've known since March.
Further confirming what everyone had known for almost a year.
snip, I'm blind
Great to know that the 'rebels' are using Stalins Organs, the most inaccurate weapon possible for trying to capture towns. They really don't give a damn about collateral damage it looks like.
That's a BM-21, which are about as ubiquitous as AKs anywhere that Soviet/Russian equipment is used.
"Modern"
And this picture will cause nothing to happen to help ukraine or stop russia.
The Vystrel was specifically made for the Russian Border Guards, though some Interior Ministries have access to them as well. The only two countries who also use them is Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, so take your pick.
"Modern"
Hell the so-called "T-90" is really just a improved/modernized T-72 while most of the rest of Russia's newer modern gear is rare and usually only issued to elite units like the VDV and Spetsnaz.

Grealty modernized tbh.
"Modern"
You're expecting it to use anti-gravitation and be armed with heavy Gauss rifle and coaxial twin-linked laser MGs?

It does tell us what kind of equipment and supplies the opposition have, though, which is pretty crucial information.

No, I'm just saying that some of the stuff that the Russian Army advertises as "new" gear is really just modernized Cold War equipment with a new designation. But then again, most nations in NATO are using modernized equipment from the Cold War as well.

It just makes no sense to reinnovate certain things.
Most stuff armies of the world use is quite old.
Like, m1911 has been in operation for over 100 years, but it still does the job.

But then what exactly constitutes 'modern' gear if everyone just modernizes stuff? I mean, evidently it works, why reinvent the wheel when you can just clip all the new bells and whistles on already existing stuff.
Those BPM-97 admittedly look like a very slight redesign of a fucking BTR-40 for fucks sake.
Um guys.
This is one from a parade in Russia

And this is the one from Lugansk. They have the same fucking camo paint, minus some chipping here and there on the Lugansk picture.
Seriously, how fucking dumb...
Russia won't say anything about how they got there.

Well at least we're not like Paraguay, they still use M3 Stuarts.
He is dead.
I'm sure by now he never officially existed.
Is it just me or are those vehicles really ugly and old looking? They barely look modern at all.
