I was visit ing a place where people drove on the left side of the road.
Now I've been in the forty eight most of my life. People drive on the right side of the road.
So I was so used to this that Even if during my time having the people physically drive on the left side of the road, due to conditioning, I was seeing the exact opposite.
Why does this happen?
what
I don't understand what you're asking. Are you asking why certain countries drive on the left side of the road? Or why when people are driving on the left side of the road, you somehow see them driving on the right??
Call the hospital, tell them that you're having a stroke.

Why does expectations and condition ing over ride ones senses which leads one to experience something not objectively happening?
What do you mean you were "seeing the exact opposite"? What does that even mean?

Read the post above yours. It means exactly what it says.
So wait, because of the conditioning you were seeing people who drive on the left side of the road, even though they were actually driving on the right?
You should follow in Alex Jones' footsteps and break the conditioning.
PUI?

No I'm used on the right side if the road. They were driving on the left. Due to conditioning, I seen them driving on the right when objectively that was not the case. No this isn't PUI. Its a question. I was sober at the time.

I... don't think that's a thing that can happen.

Well now you're on the left side of the road, of course you're going to see other cars coming on the right side. Even a car on your lane would be on your right if he's overtaking you. Whats the problem?
I think what this dope is trying to say is: he's spent all his life being conditioned to driving on the right side of the road. Now that he's in a country where they drive on the left, his brain still registers it as the right???
It's a stupid question and I don't know why you're experiencing that.
So you're in a country that you think everybody should be driving on the left side of the road in, but instead you see people driving on the right side of the road? Have you considered the possibility that people ARE driving on the right side of the road, and you're confused because you thought everyone in every foreign country drove on the left?
Learn how to use grammar, we cant understand your strange wording.

Not a stupid question if you consider and ask your self how conditioning and expectation s can be used in other things. Such as marketing, politics, religion. Its a question of objective reality vs what our culture, expections and society instilled associations could fool with our ability to be objective.
When I was in thailand I was constantly aware the taxi driver was on the left side of the road. Intersections are different, right of way is different, everything was. If you're not seeing that then I have no idea why. Then again this is probably not something to ask on this forum as I doubt anyone can give a factual diagnose of why you experienced what you experienced.
I'm aware of some people here specialize in fields of medicine, psychology, and things like that who may have heard of such a phenomena and know studies concernimg it and what terms are used to describe it.
Your description is so bizarre and vague. You need to be specific. Do you see cars out of the corner of your left eye that aren't actually there? Are you just getting disoriented? What's actually going on specifically?

I'm staring right at the cars and my mind forces me to see the opposite of what objectivelty is occurring due to conditioni.
The point in talking about this is to inquire further about how the mind can over power the senses due to conditioning and expectations thus causing issues with being able remain objective in one's expereince of the world.
Would it be possible to expose some one to a set of conditions and expectations over a period of time which then would prevent them from sensing something new?
The cars are an example of the phenomena, I am asking for more examples other then one given.

what the fuck does this MEAN
you're actually SEEING them on the wrong side of the road??? but what about in a two-lane road, there's no ROAD on the other side, do you just see cars driving on the sidewalk??? can you see the ROAD on the wrong side too??? is your entire vision reversed??? if you look directly at the place where the cars appear to be, do you still see them??? what if the actual cars leave your field of view, do you see cars anyway???

You re missing the main idea. The story is an example of how conditioning the mind can screw with the senses and wondered if there were scientific experiments done concerning the same phenomena.
