So yesterday a smoked the most weed I ever have, I can't actually tell you how much it was and its probably nothing to the amount you guys on DD have smoked.
Anyway, I got up at 4:00am and had a medium/bigish nose bleed. It went on for about 20 minutes. Then at 9:30am I had another one. This one was big. I managed to stop it by 10:10am. Could this be because of me smoking weed? And will it eventually stop?
did you get any headaches or any kind of sick feelings? i've personally never experienced or heard of anyone getting nosebleeds from weed. i usually get them when i get too overheated. it might have just been broken blood vessels in your nose. if you continue to get them next time you smoke, if you do, i'd see a doctor for sure
Maybe you were picking the inside of your nostril a bit too rough while you were high and don't remember? Same as hanswithcheese said, I've never gotten a nosebleed after smoking marijuana, nor have I heard of anyone getting one.
Well it was a really hot night. Maybe it just was a Coincidence, I have been under some stress? That's why I smoked it. I wasn't picking the inside of my nose ik I wasn't. But when I first did it I felt sick but that went hours ago. I think that's because im not use to it
I wouldn't say weed has caused the bleeding, there are a lot of factors that may have caused it. Though one thing that may irritate the nose is blowing smoke out of it, smoke to some people irritates the nose and may cause a little bleeding. Perhaps your platelet are low and the bleeding was moderate/intense because of that. I'd get a blood exam and if the bleeding continues go see a doctor. It's still probably nothing.
Right so hopefully this won't continue?

It shouldn't. As i said get that checked if it keeps up, but i wouldn't be surprised if there are traces of blood in your mucus for like the next two-three days.
Right man. Thanks ill give it like a week and see how it goes
Weed can cause your blood pressure to raise, which can break all the fine little capillaries in your nose in the right circumstances. I'm not sure how much it raises your blood pressure and whether or not smoking more causes a higher rise though. Probably was the stress elevating your blood pressure that made this possible, the weed just pushed your nose over the edge.
All speculation of course, there's a very good chance (read: most probably) that it was just a coincidence.
I've toked for almost a decade now and never once have I directly gotten a nosebleed from it, you just had a inconvenient coincidence.
Right, well in that case that makes me feel better.
Back to the weed it is then
Estimate how much weed, in grams, you smoked
I don't know man it was probably nothing compared to you lot. I don't smoke it a lot.

Fuck, had a very little nose bleed right now
Maybe the smoke just dried up your sinuses and caused a bleed. Never heard of weed causing nose bleeds tho
Maybe next time don't smoke as much and see how things go. Don't blow the smoke through your nose and report back if you get another nose bleed, hopefully you aren't the 1 in a million that gets nosebleeds while smoking since I've never even heard of it being a problem.
THC is a vasodilator, so I could see that increasing your blood flow enough to exacerbate it
maybe if you already have really dry nasal passages it could
Well so far, things are ok. I haven't had another one.
I think im good guys
Honestly, try smoking again, and if it bleeds, then just stop smoking altogether. I highly doubt it's caused by the weed.
smoke on, lad. usuall when i have a nosebleed i have a couple afterwards over the course of the day, it's prolly coincidence more than anything but i'd say it's worth trying it again just to make sure
When I next do ill let you guys know. Thanks bros
The only thing i could think is that there is a weak blood vessel in your nose, and your pressure in your head would raise and pop that weak vessel. Does your head feel heavy when you smoke?
