But when it comes to the commander in chief, I find one number particularly striking. It comes courtesy of the NPR/PBS/Marist College poll, which asked people whether they thought President Trump or President Barack Obama was a stronger leader. Americans chose the former president over the current one by a remarkable 58 to 34 margin. Why is this so remarkable? Because it's a complete role reversal. Strong leadership was the core of Trump's appeal, and it was a distinct weakness for Obama toward the end of his presidency. It was also the thing Trump attacked Obama for repeatedly on the campaign trail, and it was the thing one poll showed voters said was most important on Election Day, when they unexpectedly installed Trump as president. They grabbed hold of any perceived controversy they could, everything from the color of his suit (shit you not, there was a "Beige-ghazi", which is funny to think about because these same people that latched onto Clinton for whatever involvement she had in a tragedy like Benghazi were sure quick to politicize it for their own gain because they didn't like the color of the suit he was wearing) to claiming that Michelle was actually a man.

Wait a moment, Trump had a leadership trait? This is news to me :v:
Honestly, it's depressing the numbers are that high for Trump.
Honestly, it's depressing the numbers are that high for Trump.
They'll continue to drop as long as he remains in office. Americans are short-sighted, they want to see tangible results immediately or they begin to become displeased and take it out on whatever source of power they deem responsible. Let's say a President supports an effort that will save hundreds of species of fish, prolonging the fishing industry's longevity, lessening the burden on millions of Americans - after a decade or two when the project is finished. Americans don't care. They don't care about later, they want it now. So while Trump and his lackeys continue to twiddle their thumbs failing to put together what can barely be called a healthcare plan, failing repeatedly to pass border restrictions, embarrassing the United States regularly, and basically just shitposting on Twitter all day, the American people are getting tired and they're getting butthurt as shit and they will pin it all on one person. They're predictable like that. I don't think we'll ever have a President who has high ratings at their inception throughout their career until the end of their term because we as a society are just too goddamned impatient and selfish. That's how the people of this country have been raised to be, living in a nation that screams red-faced and frothing at the mouth "We are the best country on the planet and we have the best economy and the best industry and the best people and no crime and we're God's favorite country!" Perhaps Donald Trump's explosive temper, lack of common sense, crude sensibilities, lack of proper education, and general incompetence are more American than we ever realized. These days it seems like those are more American qualities than the freedom-loving, all-inclusive, and righteous traits we were told to believe in. How truly depressing. Happy fucking Independence Day.

Some of them just want to see liberals get pissed, get hurt, die, or all of the fucking above. Others would blame the Democrats, Obama, or Hillary over losing health care or everything wrong. At this point, I expect they would allow him to shit on their mouths and kill them if it meant liberals have to watch and smell it. The only way to fix this is vote, and even then it might not be enough if shit gets worse.
