yeah.... about that, I seem to be having a problem with my server. The ML370 G3 has 6 slots for Ram, Memory must be paired and installed Sequentially. I have the first 2 slots (Banks A) filled with 2x 1Gb DDR, 266 Mhz, CL2.5 PC 2100R The second 2 slots (Banks B) are filled with 2x 1Gb, 266 Mhz, CL2, ECC PC 2100R, which is pretty much the same. When booting, the Post-Bios and the Bios show 4096 MB is installed, as soon as I get to booting the OS (Windows Server 2003 R2) It just restarts the server. If I don't do anything it becomes an infinite loop. This is when the Memory Protection is set to ECC Standard Memory Protection. When Set to ECC Standard Memory Protection WITH Online Spare Memory it boots up normally, only showing the first 2 slots (Banks A) (2048 MB in total) I've tried looking for errors with MemTest-86, BUT after about 2 hours it came out with 0 errors. Now, switching the memory bars won't change a thing. It's a shame really, having 4 GB of old crap ram and only able to use 2 GB. (its crap, but still better than nothing, so take that... whoever has nothing!) Can anyone tell me what the problem could be? FYI CPU-Z doesn't show my memory information or the SPD.
