WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -
A 2-year-old Macomb County boy has died, just days after suffering brain damage when he was allegedly shaken by his mother's boyfriend.
Ronald Dimambro is charged with attacking Damian Sutton last week while baby-sitting him in Washington Township, about 30 miles north of Detroit.
RIP little guy. I hope the judge deals with Ronald Dimambro harshly.
How do people come to the conclusion that this is the proper course of action? Anger should only be used when there's something to gain from it.

Sarcasm aside, maybe slap a person across the face if they're being a complete and total dickwad on purpose for no known reason. But not violently shaking a baby to the point of fatal brain damage.

Man, this had potential to become another Sonic drowning post, why'd you snip it.

It didn't have the same pure shock value as the sonic one did

I have a theory about cases like this. You'll notice that the guy who did this is the mother's boyfriend but not the baby's father. In some animals, the males will kill the offspring that the females had with other males, so the females will want/need to breed again, and this time the offspring will be from that male.
This guy was put in charge of babysitting a kid that wasn't his. When that kid starts to cry, gets hungry, poops himself, or anything else, do you think this guy gives a shit? Look at his picture.

What could there be to gain from showing a toddler your anger?
Anger isn't really as much an emotion for me as it is a calculated state to gain some sort of advantage. I'm just not a hotblooded person. I have wanted to do something quite along the lines of what you posted, though. Apparently some people such a plan for action might not be advisable, though

Oh god, now I'm thinking of that thread with the drowned kid who had a Sonic-themed funeral, and someone immediately posted the drowning theme from Sonic 1.

Anger can really be either a calculated state used to gain the upper hand in a proper situation, or the opposite, a partial or total loss of emotional, mental and physical control. For most people I've seen, it's the latter, a partial or complete loss of control due to extreme confusion, frustration, or other factors. I'm not a hotblooded person either, but when I get truly pissed it's because something frustrated, irritated or otherwise bugged me to the point where I couldn't stay cool and ignore/tolerate it any longer.
Also, what's with the late ratings, I know it's old as dirt but it's a similar situation.
