This should be a form of murder. That dude who swatted him should be locked up for a long time. Why the fucking fuck did they shoot an unarmed man though...

They have to expect literally every hostile thing to happen to them, it's dangerous as fuck. In a usual situation where the SWAT team has to be called in, some guy just walking up to the door could have literally anything up his sleeve. The one that deserves locked up is the dumb fuck that called it in over being a gigantic baby on a video game.
Swatting should carry a hefty felony charge and if anyone dies or is hurt also a murderer/assault charge, whichever is relevant.
Swatting should carry a hefty felony charge and if anyone dies or is hurt also a murderer/assault charge, whichever is relevant.
It already does, and this swatting happened in part because of someone who's done this before making the call so they'll have a tough time tracing it.

SWAT is no cleanup death squadron and no answer why an unarmed man was shot.
I agree. But they just shot him immediately? Why.
The article make it sound like they killed him the moment he opened the door. This is not the case however. A bodycam footage shows Andrew Finch on the door with spotlights on him and the police shouting multiple times to show his hands. He then apparently did a very hasty move, pulled up his pants and turned to a police officer, this is what got him killed.
-Y'know what, nevermind-
Swatting needs to fucking stop. Why would anyone think "Y'know what would be SOOOOOO hilarious?? A guy getting a swat team sent to his house and potentially shot :D"
This should be a form of murder. That dude who swatted him should be locked up for a long time. Why the fucking fuck did they shoot an unarmed man though...
Because they didn't know he was unarmed (and in fact, according the call they were given they had every reason to believe that he had a gun) and as said earlier, he made a motion that could easily be misconstrued as reaching for a weapon.
