No sources atm as it was a breaking news update while I was watching TV But there is a live Twitter feed with people confirming it: http://www.google.com/search?q=martial+law+bahrain&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=a8n&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivnsu&tbs=mbl:1&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=TFB_Td_OLpK6hAeayZygBw&ved=0CE8Q5QU EDIT: (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/security-official-says-saudi-soldier-shot-dead-by-opposition-protester-in-bahrain/2011/03/15/ABRl3dW_story.html) A Saudi solider has been shot dead just now by Bahraini protesters. (Saudi and UAE sent in troops to assist Bahrain yesterday). Live ammunition is now being used. EDIT: Al Jazzera has confirmed Martial Law in the top "Breaking" headline, http://english.aljazeera.net/
Uh oh.
And another domino falls...
Does this legally count as an invasion?
Hmm, apparently, there are also rumors that the army is killing from above the sky using helicopters. Not sure if it's true or not, but lets just hope it's not :/. Al Jazzera also said that the army is heading towards the Pearl Roundabout, the main "hq" of the protesters as we speak.
Good luck Starpluck. It rhymes :v:
Does this legally count as an invasion?
No, I'm pretty sure the soldiers would of been there supporting the Bahraini government. Still, martial law and live ammunition means this is probably going to get ugly very quickly.
There's way too much shit going on in the world right now.
We are one jackass with a nuke away from Fallout.
OK there are some news reports now http://www.torontosun.com/news/world/2011/03/15/17619451.html
Haha, oh wow. Stumbled across this article while looking Gilbert Gottfried's Japan tweet. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2011/03/15/iran-denounces-saudi-troop-deployment-bahrain-1387374597/ Iran disapproves. Even worse though, when I tried to find another source on Google News, they knew exactly what I meant.
If you haven't found one, here's a BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12745021
Shit's intense.
If Iran gets involved it could turn into a real war.
Isn't Bahrain off the coast of Saudi Arabia?
There's way too much shit going on in the world right now.
There's always been... welcome to planet Earth, may I take your coat?
Why can't an Earthquake happen in the middle east. That way the entire region will shut up and focus on rebuilding cities amidst the ruins cause by a natural disaster. But think about it. It's EITHER Natural Disaster Civil Unrest Rarely both. Bah What am i saying. it's Earth. Nothing we can do about it [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] Forget what I say. Middle East NEEDS TO CHANGE

A Saudi-led military force crossed into Bahrain on Monday to prop up the monarchy against widening demonstrations, launching the first cross-border military operation to quell unrest since the Arab world's rebellions began in December. In Saudi Arabia, protesters shoot you!
oh shit
I honestly think the protesters deserve to be shot, those assholes dont give a damn about freedom or democracy, they just want to make an Iranian puppet state with religious supremacy of the Shiites, because i remember there was a woman crying about how her son has leukemia and how the shia doctors refused to treat him because they were Sunni, also all the Arab shia channels including many Shi'ites in my country are mainly discussing the situation in bahrain and giving them a heroic image, also there were numerous channels showing the protesters waving the bahraini flag with the Iranian leader's picture, also the protesters charged into a girls school with swords and cut up what the schoolgirls were wearing. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
If Iran gets involved it could turn into a real war.
It is, after all it voiced support for the protests and a democratic Bahrain yet they are beating up Iranian pro democracy protesters over there.
This isn't news- Bahrain has been under martial law since their uprising began last month or so, and Saudi troops were called in by the government not long after.
Some guy got hit by a sniper. WARNING, VERY GRAPHIC http://www.apacheclips.com/media/30397/GRAPHIC_Bahraini_Protester's_Missing_Brain/

Internet has been throttled down to around 5 kb/s for everyone to prevent uploading videos and shit, this speed is unbearable.
I hope you guys take over. Fuck all kings of the world. Unfortunately the west sucks the dick of the monarchs so they can jizz out oil.
Uh oh, this will turn ugly, Saudi Arabia got some high tech shit compared to rest of the middle-east (save for Israel ofc).

If I remember correctly, isn't this just another Sunni v Shia conflict, or is this one deeper than that?
Some guy got hit by a sniper. WARNING, VERY GRAPHIC http://www.apacheclips.com/media/30397/GRAPHIC_Bahraini_Protester's_Missing_Brain/
It's creepy, and somewhat touching how they treat the body so delicate, despite the rush of other injuries bound to arrive.
