I went and saw the recent one last night, and honestly it was terrible.
Not because of the "horrific" death scenes, or "gruesome" fatalities, but because of the horrible acting/camera work, and just adding 3-d to try to fix it didn't solve the films problem in the first place.
Although the part where [sp] the dude got his insides ripped out his ass by the pool filter [/sp] was the only death that made me shit a brick, oddly fitting, Other than that, the deaths were kind of expected.
Its just another one of those movies thats not worth seeing just because you know everyones going to die in the end, even the main character. (if not in the movie itself, then in another fucking sequel thats bound to happen.)
Maybe people don't go to see these movies for the story, the acting, or the cinematography, but what the fuck happened to the standards of making a movie? now-a-days its like the producers are like "Oh well, the viewer probably won't notice, PRINT!"

When I saw that in the advert I thought [sp]he would just drown[/sp], but that's ridiculous. Another bit I saw was a woman being killed by a pebble. Really? A fucking pebble?
And the car wash scene - can she not break the windscreen? All buses have a Life Hammer near a window, and my dad has one in his glove box. Even if she doesn't have one of those, surely she could find some alternative - or even just WIND DOWN THE FUCKING WINDOW.
The first film was good, the deaths were slightly realistic and there was more to it than that, but now the series has just devolved into torture porn.

Anyways, I enjoyed FD1 and 2, they were entertaining and good.

Donnie Darko is an amazing film! You probably didn't like it cause you didn't get it.

It's still stupid. Put both movies together at a rental store, add someone who never heard of Final Destination and he won't know which is the first film.
To be honest, the entire series was shit from the beginning. Even the first two movies were sub-par, now they're just milking it some more.
