Well guys, I finally found an contact for acid, after a couple of years of looking. Anyways, I have all the basics down, setting, pen and paper for creativity, music, food, etc. I've been reading up on acid lately and just kinda trying to get a sense of what I should expect. Some people say that there are strong visual effects. Many people say that the somatic effects are much more noticeable and enjoyable however. Well, to get to the point- why I made this thread. 1. Your experience with acid, the first time was it overpowering, I mean what should I expect on an LSD come-up? 2. Random shit that you've noticed that would provoke a bad trip. I've heard that I should avoid mirrors, anything else? 3. I have red walls in my room. Would that have an effect on the trip's overall disposition, I have red walls in my room, so would that provoke any unpleasant thoughts, etc. 4. Would I be able to function on LSD, have conversation and act normal with a dosage of 100 micrograms? 5. Any misconceptions you might want to clear up about acid? Any other information would be amazingly helpful. Thanks.
1. wasnt overpowering, just fun 2. I don't mind mirrors, nothing has provoked a bad trip for me. 3. No. It'll probably be changing colors if anything. 4. Function, converse, yes, act completely normal? probably not. 5. Just have fun man, go in happy, come out happy
Preface this by saying this is from experience on other psychedelics, namely shrooms and mescaline. 1. Most likely not going to be overpowering, it'll be interesting to say the least. 2. If you worry too much about having a bad trip, you're more prone to having one, keep your mindset positive. 3. I have no clue whether the color of your walls will effect your trip, what I can tell you is if you associate the color red with something negative it could trigger something not so pleasant but since your room is painted red you probably don't have that issue. 4. Conversations are possible, though I've never had an in depth one while on psychedelics, and you almost definitely won't be able to act normally. 5. Biggest thing about tripping on anything is to remember that you're under the influence of a psychoactive, that way if things start to go badly you can abort that path.
1. First time wasn't overwhelming at all. And my first time was at a psychedelic trance rave. 2. Being alone in tiny bathrooms. The solitude and silence is terrifying to me. 3. Doubtful. 4. You won't be normal, that's for sure. You'll be unsane. Beyond sanity, but not insane. Conversation might become difficult, depending on how much you take. Difficult, but not impossible 5. Remember: keep calm and carry on. If at any point the trip starts to become overwhelming for you, just remind yourself that you'll be sober in a few hours and that you should enjoy the experience while you can.
Don't avoid mirrors they're amazing!

We planned to trip to Tron Imax 3D and then cruise the mall and maybe some woods nearby. We came up during the movie and it was the most amazing thing ever. It feels like everything is excitedly overwhelming almost and energized. The come up is almost in light waves. It takes an hour or an hour and a half to come up and it just keeps hitting you stronger and stronger. 2. Really, I would just say don't take an inhuman amount of LSD your first time (keep it under 3 hits) and you won't even have to worry about a bad trip. People make them seem like they are everyday things, they really aren't, especially on lower doses. I suppose though that if you would like to stay away from getting in a bad mood, don't think of the mistakes you've made as a person or things of that nature. I guess I've been in what could be considered a "bad trip" on LSD for a small time during a time I've dosed. Although I was looking over all the flaws that I have, LSD is nice in the sense that it makes me feel really confident that I can overcome those flaws and work to be a better person. I've had worse trips on bud then on LSD, haha. Oh, and mirrors are pretty cool on LSD, I wouldn't worry about it. 3. Like I said, just don't go overkill on your dose so you're not more overwhelmed than you should be and you will be totally fine. Red walls will probably give a pretty good feeling to your trip. I'd hope you're not just tripping in your room the whole time! 4. You'll be able to function enough to go and run around, buy things from shops, have small talk. Don't hope to appear normal to someone sober. If you had to act sober for a while you could probably pull it off. Your pupils will be huuuuuuuuuuge though. Also, I wouldn't be so sure about knowing what your dosage is. Your LSD goes through many hands and word of dosage gets distorted. 5. You probably won't see things as portrayed in every movie involving psychedelics ever. For me, the visuals are just distortions and things like tables breathing, patterned lines swaying, etc. I have yet to see a hallucination. Are you tripping alone or with someone? People say not to plan a trip out so much and instead, just go with whatever you feel like doing while you're tripping. I'm indifferent towards that saying, I've done both and either seem fine for me.
This has turned out to be a far longer post than I anticipated but I thought I would share my first time.
First time I tried LSD was last weekend. I was woefully unprepared, but I'm not one to turn down trying new things. Weary of the fact that I hadn't tried it before I just had half a tab, my mate (who's stuff it was) had the other half. But then maybe 20 mins later when the rest of the group (all experienced with psychedelics) had theirs we had another full tab, I have no idea why I did this so don't ask. We were at a festival, about 10.30am. We left our camp and went for a walk around the markets. After a while of this I could feel myself filling up with panic, I tried talking my way around but it wasn't working. I distracted my self by keeping occupied, watched a topless woman get painted, danced for a bit, all while staying with the group. Another friend back at camp (who also happens to be my boss) called me to say they had made me some dinner so i guess it must've been around 12 at this point. I sat on the floor of their tent eating dinner with their kids, I kept forgetting that I was eating, apparently I kept drifting into a stare. I still felt panic at this point but as long as things around me kept calm i was ok. But then people started getting up to go about their day, i realised i probably had to get out of their tent. I suddenly became acutely aware that my heart was beating insanely fast, almost purring (I had taken some extacy earlier) which caused me to freak the fuck out, which just mad it worse. At this point, my mate (whose stuff it was) turned up, for some reason seeing him was a relief, I gave him a hug and told him it wasn't going well, he took me out to an adjacent cornfield and we did some breathing exercises. Returning to camp, someone suggested we do some nitrous. This never fails to be amazing, and someone said at the time that its even better on psychedelics. I got some out of my bag and we go back out to the field. I prepare us a balloon each and we inhale. I am not exaggerating when i tell you that it was the single most pleasurable thing I have ever experienced This turned my trip around completely. Instead of my mind being preoccupied with intense panic I could now see everything the LSD was trying to show me. I could hear the music from the dance tent in the distance, the sky changed shape with every beat. Wind blowing through the corn formed beautiful patterns which somehow followed the music. The land felt alive. Then as I watched the fairground in the distance I found myself fixated on a large vertical spinning ride. I watched it for an unknown amount of time before it started slowing down, as it did so i noticed the ambient noise (a mix of music, engines, and crowds) was dropping in pitch, following its slowing speed perfectly, people were slowing too. This thing was controlling time!. This was an incredibly bizzare experience, but an enjoyable one. I also found myself stuck in particular moments, but i wouldn't notice until i sort of 'caught up with myself" (can't really explain that bit in words) I'm not sure how long the two of us stayed in the field, but at some point I got up and walked back to the camp, where I found the rest of the group chilling in the a tent, I joined them. The time in the tent was pleasant. It was calm, no one really said anything, except a short sentence every once in a while, and a few giggles. All the while I can still hear the pitch of the ambient noise rise and fall constantly. I was ok with this. Again, I'm not sure how long we were in there, but it was dark when I got out again. By this time my mate has returned from the field and is sat outside. He suggests we go for a pipe, the weed tasted amazing. At some point in the evening we get out the decks and sound system and get some tunes going. Things start to take a downward turn once again as I realise I cant understand any one, the words are there but they're in the wrong order. I look at my beer, i know its supposed to say "stella artois" but it simply doesn't. I notice that my heart is racing again. I go over to my mate and tell him this is happening, he understands me which is comforting, and we go do some breathing exercises again. I walk around the camp for a bit panicking far too much. All the people around me are really caring and loving and try their best to help. A girl who was with our group (I think she had come down by this time) came over and gave me a hug which seemed like it lasted for ever, she gave me her orange blanket (it was really cold) and for some reason it felt really safe. I never really got back into a good place though and just had to sit it out until I could sleep.
Apologies for the massive post, you probably don't care heh. But in general, I would definitely try it again, and I hope it's good for you. P.S. Sunglasses are a MUST, you don't want people to see your eyes. Also nitrous, get lots of nitrous
I dunno man most people I know wouldnt care about your eyes
depends if you're in public or not
yea but most people dunno what someone on acid looks like and the ones that do probably do it themselves
1. Your experience with acid, the first time was it overpowering, I mean what should I expect on an LSD come-up? I took four hits and was the only one who didn't trip while everyone else took one or two. You may not trip I guess? 2. Random shit that you've noticed that would provoke a bad trip. I've heard that I should avoid mirrors, anything else? When you go to the bathroom, leave the door unlocked and cracked open a little if you can. This was advice given to me that you may freak out if you close yourself in somewhere. 3. I have red walls in my room. Would that have an effect on the trip's overall disposition, I have red walls in my room, so would that provoke any unpleasant thoughts, etc. Maybe? Doubt it. 4. Would I be able to function on LSD, have conversation and act normal with a dosage of 100 micrograms? Don't go driving or having a conversation with your family because you will just wanna talk about how amazing the universe is and all these cool theories you've heard of for everything. 5. Any misconceptions you might want to clear up about acid? Don't do it too much! I know a guy who went completely nuts but he would do 20 hits at a time. Now all he wants to talk about is how technology is the devil and how the world is ending tomorrow.
I'd hope you're not just tripping in your room the whole time! Are you tripping alone or with someone?
Nope, I'll actually probably not be there for that much of it, but I may have to skim through to get something or check my computer for a bit. And yeah I'm tripping with a good friend of mine :) [editline]1st August 2011[/editline] Thanks guys, your posts have been really helpful :D If anyone has anything else to share any help is appreciated :)
have fun bro
1.The come up is probably the part where makes or breaks your thoughts on either good or bad, just because your body is changing from sobriety to a way altered state. For me, I felt a bit uncomfortable because there were a lot of people around talking, dressed in costumes (halloween night). It was overwhelming, so you just change environment--problem solved. 2. Mirrors can be scary for me because I will look at myself and start morphing into warewolfs and stuff like that. I don't necessarily avoid them, I just have fun looking at other stuff anyways. 3. I don't think anybody could answer this question for you, except yourself. 4. You'll be talking differently probably, like the way your thoughts are. You'll look lost while talking to somebody if you're tripping bawlz. 5. You're thinking too much about the trip, just have fun. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be prepared, which you should, but you dont need to go through every detail of it before it happens, just go with it.
that's like not even physically possible
I have an inhuman tolerance for most things, but I am also 6'2", 215 pounds and built like a bull.
i don't even think weight has much to do with lsd? could be wrong
i don't even think weight has much to do with lsd? could be wrong
Nope you're correct.
3 tabs at australia's best invention in the rain sloppy muddy dance floor, chicks dancing like sluts on tables in front of the dj, got about 100 worth of weed for $50. Saw an alien (something sitting on a log that looked like a person with no head, but nobody was game enough to go close to it from any angle, came back later and it wasn't there). amazing starfilled sky between the rainy downpours. stared at a fogged up rained on window at one point and it was truely indescribable. It was like a piece of art and that's what acids all about.
man the more I hear about doof's the more I want to go to one, Aussie has doofs at new years right?
man the more I hear about doof's the more I want to go to one, Aussie has doofs at new years right?
there are doofs on a pretty regular basis, they're just kept hell on the down low.

Informative thread, shall refer to this!
I'll be making a trip report thread the day after I take it
there are doofs on a pretty regular basis, they're just kept hell on the down low.
Frustrating! I need to make more australian friends :v:
This thread has been incredibly useful to me I'm probably going to trip next weekend at a friend's, if my family was to call me on my phone after taking, idk 160ug would I have trouble keeping my voice steady or anything? I doubt it'll happen but still. Also what should I do? I guess the plan for the night is we'll dose at around six or seven and just wait. Chill to some music, I'm gonna bring my bike and a helmet (lol), and I'd like to walk around a bit at night and look at the stars and stuff Should I smoke some bud right after dosing? Or should I wait till the come up, or should I smoke during a peak? Just wondering
Whenever I smoke bud on LSD it kick starts it, I recommend smoking before the peak.
Yeah, I just realized that would be FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE
I'm probably going to trip next weekend at a friend's, if my family was to call me on my phone after taking, idk 160ug would I have trouble keeping my voice steady or anything?
If they do call, be safe and don't answer. Call them back in the morning when you're sober and tell 'em you weren't paying attention or something
probably not a bad idea it seems my killjoy friend only wants to take one tab so the night will probably be a waste of time anyway, might just say I'm sick that night or my parents won't let me go over and just do it myself [editline]13th August 2011[/editline] or I could go over, let him have one tab himself first, find out he feels nothing and then take two myself and see what happens
