My moms laptops sound is not working, through the speakers or the headphone jack. I can't seem to figure it out.
It is a Windows Vista toshiba laptop with Realtek High Definition Audio.
First I will list what I have done to try to get the sound to work.
Nothing is on mute, nothing at all.
The sound device is working and is turned up and not on mute
Realtek is up to date and everything is updated, I have tried enabling then disabling it.
I have tried updating the driver.
I have checked the headphone jack, nothing seems to be wrong with it other than no sound.
I have made sure Windows audio service in enabled.
I have done a system restore back to days before it stopped working.
I checked to see if it was muted in the BIOS setup menu and there is no option for it.
There are NO errors or problems at all that I have run into, everything seems to be in working order.
I would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this.
look VERY close at the keyboard.
