:psyduck:
Seriously... the only section with reasonable decisions is the rock section.
Metal song of the year
* "El Dorado" - Iron Maiden
* "Let the Guilt Go" - Korn
* "In Your Words" - Lamb of God
* "Sudden Death" - Megadeth
* "World Painted Blood" - Slayer
Alternative album of the year
* The Suburbs - Arcade Fire
* Infinite Arms - Band Of Horses
* Brothers - The Black Keys
* Broken Bells - Broken Bells
* Contra - Vampire Weekend
Pretty good.
World Painted Blood came out in 2009 though
oh the single nvm
I don't reckon Arcade Fire will get it. More likely to be Lady Gaga.
Hopefully Black Keys win their category.
What the fuck is Lady Antebellum doing there
What the fuck is Lady Antebellum doing there
Not that bad an album to be honest. Still pretty poor though.
Far from the worst I've ever heard, but nowhere near Grammy territory
Most of this is a popularity contest
Surprised The National didn't get anything.

People's reactions in general are what they base their decision on.
My opinion based on what you gave:
Fame Monster - Gaga is my music guilty pleasure and I love all the songs from that album. I also dislike Recovery and I detest Katy Perry.
Fuck You - Great song, and I really dislike most of the other ones that are up, except Empire State of Mind is alright.
(no real opinion for any of those best new artists. Florence and mumford are ok from what I've heard of their stuff I guess)
(no opinion on the metal either)
Brothers - I sincerely hope this one wins.
I look forward to drinking and yelling at the grammies tonight.

Released his album too late in the year. Most probably will get a nomination in 2012

[editline]13th February 2011[/editline]
looking forward to seeing janelle's peformance
In all fairness... I couldn't give a shit about the awards. I'm only watching it for the live performances.
The Suburbs needs to win best album, seriously look at the other ones.
Lady Gaga won best album I think.
Black Keys won a few.
Wait until tomorrow to see em.
Just saw Mumford & Sons in the best new artist category.
Oh yes.
Aww I wanted Bieber to win :downs:
Lady Gaga won best album? Hahahhaahahahha
Pretty good album. Not the best of 2010 however.
Yeah Lady Gaga isn't bad, but the best? No way.
But it's about popularity after all, so it's obvious that she'd win it.
Mumford & Sons are awesome.

I hear Janelle Monae lost to Usher.
:barf:

Seriously... Genuinely good artpop vs a failed Michael Jackson impersonator.
"Fuck You" needs to win Song and Record of the Year. :iia:
Also the Beatles are nominated for an award. :frogc00l:
Janelle Monae's album should have been nominated in Best album of the year instead of Katy Perry's one.
It was an actually good pop album.

Yeah, I don't understand that. Helter Skelter was 43 years ago.

:smug:
Oh. So it's an award for a repackaged collection of albums.
GOOD JOB. :smug:
Hopefully next year, Bob Dylan's Mono Recordings get
nominated.
[editline]14th February 2011[/editline]
Yay, Neil Young won best rock song.
"Fuck You" lost in both categories.
:crying:
holy shit arcade fire won best album
