£300 for an upgrade

Basically I want to upgrade my system from my current setup of:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 skt 939
Asus A8N sli se skt 939
ATI X1800XT 256mb
2gb DDR
580W Hiper modular PSU
500gb SATA drive

So yeah, just want to replace the aging components at this stage, would like an upgrade that is preferably built with the new tech in like AM3, DDR3, so I can upgrade more easily than with my current setup.

£300 is not an absolute limit though, I am willing to sway either way, just aim for something around the 300 mark unless say a small amount of extra cash equals a big increase in performance.
