I've not heard anything about a dead space 3 myself, but then again I've not really been looking. What I do know is if Dead Space 3 is (or has been) officially announced, I'm going to take that as the perfect excuse to replay both games on PC again, it may also convince me to complete the iPhone game as well.
OH GOD THIS MAKES ME SO EXCITED.
Dead Space really has one of the best space sci-fi atmospheres I've ever seen in a game. And the fact that the cutscenes are usually so incredibly smooth (or rather non-existant) makes it so much more immersive. I just hope they can keep that feeling intact in the third game.
John Carver.......a possible John Carter nod?
I really hope that if there will be co-op in the game, it's an option and that you can play through the single player alone and without having some stupid AI partner.
Oh she's dead. I know it.
his the same name from Far Cry?
thats jack caver. Dead space 3, where you at already.
looks awesome, lets hope EA dont fuck up this like Mass Effect, Dead Space is a great franchise
uxor is latin for wife, have only played the first hour or so of ds1, is there some overarching theme about women in the dead space series or is it just because this one's probably going to be about this guy looking for his wife?
New Helmet looks sexy.
Now I got another game to look forward to playing in the future.
I would find it more awesome if when the other players died they would turn into necromorphs and try to ruin your singleplayer by scaring the shit out of you while devouring your inards
Please have lots of references to John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)
Love the series, but honestly, what the hell is wrong with the storyline board members? While military bases do indeed have residential areas (for active duty and family members), forward operating bases (or FOBs) like this this where a military installation is keeping a dangerous artifact like this (which at this point in the timeline - they damn well know everything about how the obelisks work, the higher than normally detectable frequencies they operate on, etc.) would never have a civilian population on hand.
Is this guy for real? Unitologists (especially the organized military unitologist leaders) don't give two shits about anyone else. Hell he's complaining about that when The Sprawl in Dead Space 2 had a fucking 80 story tall marker.
Can't wait. Hopefully it's as optimised as Dead Space 2 was, I could run that maxed out on my ancient PC.

They had an entire team working on it though.
From all this is sorta seems like possibly some times the player controls Isaac, other times John. Would love to see that, even more if even outside co-op the two interact
john carver sounds like the most generic action guy protagonist name of all time right after jack carver
Ewwww, what's up with the angsty character design? it's trying too hard to look "HARDCORE" comes off as sluggish and boring. And the scar? come on man, he looks like an evil action figure i sure hope there's alternate skins. Heck just give me the old suit that had a likeable art style atleast it added atmosphere. It's the same problem with prototype, everything is red and looks like a shitty metal album cover.
Let's hope it has more kickass gameplay mechanics like the previous Dead Space's.
That animated comic is sexy as hell.
Interesting...
I wonder what the signs on top of the page means? It looks like some sort of countdown.

This guys a soldier so he ain't going to be the same suit as Isaac 3. We know almost nothing about the character and how he is related to the main series so chill the fuck out.
God damn, I can't wait for DS3 already.
I don't think dead space have been the best games I've played but I always enjoy them for space horror.
Well, when you combine necromorphs with an icy place, I can only think of John Carpenter and that old classic he directed. Hopefully we'll see something about Isaac soon; he knows how to deal with those things.
