What's even worse is how Revelations 1 had the "Previously on..." shit, even though it was a full game. It's not a goddamn TV series. It didn't work with Alan Wake, and it didn't work with Resident Evil.

While I agree that it didn't work with Resident Evil. I disagree with saying it didn't work with Alan Wake.
All things considered, that's actually cheaper than most major titles altogether, and certainly not a triple-A title's price if you get it all plus extra. However, that makes me concerned for the length and quality of these 'episodes'; if it's $6 a pop, that could be anywhere from half an hour to an hour of gameplay, and knowing Capcom that's a generous guess at best.

Consider that It was a 3DS game. I use to play 1 chapter while waiting for a class at uni, then put it away. When I resumed the game a week later, the next chapter caught me up with the story so I could play it.
I loved that, the chapters were short enough to play on the go as well.
This system only really makes sense on mobile games in my opinion.

On an unrelated note, I hope the audio mixing is improved in RE:R2. The first Revelations had all the cutscene audio's volume mixed with the music, it was so fucking stupid.
That's how you ruin something that was going to be good. People will wait until the full thing is released.

I was worried when they said it wouldn't be on 3DS.
With this episode announcement, I'm officially terrified for the future of this title. Capcom, for the love of god, DON'T fuck this up.
Cause now I can't help but question the quality or length of the content this game will be sporting. I mean, it could turn out like telltale's walking dead and be a huge hit, or it could suck balls and further put the Resident Evil series in the ground.
No 3DS? That's dissapointing. The episodic content is a little bit worrying as well... :(

The character outfits in previous RE games were still kinda over the top, but they were still sensible. I mean, just look at this:
