So, I'm getting a new computer, but I need help with whether the components are compatible and if I should replace some component for another one. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Case: Antec Nine Hundred CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 750GB 7200RPM 32MB SATA II OS: Vista 64 bit home premium RAM: Corsair XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 1333MHz Graphics card: ASUS GeForce GTX 275 896MB Power supply: Corsair HX750W Budget is about $2000
Get a 4670 until the ATI 5XXX cards come out next month. You will not regret it.
2000$ and you have a semi good build? i.e. 4 gigs of ram I got about the same specs for 700$
You could get a PII 965 and antec 1200 and some form of sli/crossfire.
Where do you live?
ATI. hehehehe no billy.
ATI is better then nvidia in most price ranges currently.
Go fuck yourself fanboy.
Quoted for truth.
You could get a much better build for that price. i7 anyone?
No, the phenom II 955 BE is cheaper and almost as good as the i7 920.
Go fuck yourself fanboy.
It's hard being a fanboy when I'm not. Also, shitty drivers are shitty drivers. lol GDDR5.
If you're shooting down everyone elses opinion and insulting people who are trying to help you, why ask us. You're obviously much smarter than us.
Get 2 GTX 275s if you have such a huge budget. And an i7.. I mean, 2K is quite a lot to work with.

Well, he had it coming for for not knowing the difference between cost and budget. And if you're not providing a reason why I should get X instead of Y, of course I'm going to shoot it down. Also, so tempted to post crybaby.jpg.
You should get a Ati card as THEY ARER BETTER PRICE/PERFORMANCE THAN NVIDIA and they dont have shitty drivers anymore. With that budget you should get a i7 rig as that will future proof the fuck for many many many years. also Budget usally means: "a sum of money allocated for a particular purpose;" so if you dont want to spend upto 2000$ then make your budget lower oh and people arnt gonna help you if you act stupid/insulting not listening to what they say :am:

ITT: Massive fanboyism
Hey, $2000 budg-..oh fanboy build, sorry wrong thread.
ATI Cards have HUGE PRICE FOR PERFORMANCE RATIO. They have some of the BEST cards for your money. Look at the 4850. It's 90$, and it can max ANY. SOURCE. GAME. available. Nvidia's equivalent, the GTX260, is more than a 100$ more.
