Hey FacePunch. Well, I just started up my computer, and windows explorer refuses to work. When I put my mouse over it, I just get the vista loading symbol, and if I click, it says "Windows Explorer is not responding" and I can either wait, or close it. I've already tried to start explorer through task manager, and it still doesn't work. Also, if it helps at all, the last thing I installed before this happened was Microsoft Visual Basic 2008.

Yeah. I don't even have a desktop background. That's gone too for some reason...
EDIT: Just uninstalled VB... No difference.
EDIT again: I just ran a system restore, everything's fine. Please let this thread die.
After a lot of consideration, I'd recommend formatting the disk and reinstalling.
But most importantly, what exactly have you downloaded within the past two weeks?
Avast!, Unregistered Hypercam, a few addons for Garry's Mod... That's about it.
Also, my friend made a fake shortcut for firefox that ran a batch file which created like a billion hidden folders on my desktop... It did seem to slow my computer down a lot, but I deleted those, and still, nothing. :bang:
