Hugo tells the story of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl, he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key. Based on Brian Selznick’s award winning and imaginative New York Times bestseller, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, this magical tale is Academy Award(R)-winner Martin Scorsese’s first film shot in 3D.
Strange to see Scorsese directing a family adventure film, but I'm sure it will be brilliant.
i dont like it
poster is so lame
seems like a Harry Potter/chronicles of Narnia imitating mainstream shit movie just to make money
Scorsese should make another gangster movie or something, not kid adventure fairytale bullshit

By the way, the film title sucks
I'll probably see it just because it's a Martin Scorsese film (unless horrible reviews convince me not to bother), but based only on that single trailer, it doesn't appeal to me very much
Why is everything in 3D now?
stick to what you do best scorsese ffs
Why not just call it the Invention of Hugo Cabret? Would attract more fans of the book.

Also Hugo looks like young Malcom McDowell
I can see hardcore Scorcese fans not liking this but I'm intrigued. Something advertised as "adventurous" usually ends up a craphole of a movie, but this actually might be quite creative and artful.
I put my faith into Marty, this will be awesome.
I really hope it's a sweet film, but I just have a bad feeling about it.
Sacha Baron Cohen?
Sacha Baron Cohen?
Worthy actor. :v:
oh, so i'm an imbecile because you like it and i don't.
No, you're an imbecile because you said "WAH, WHY CAN'T HE JUST MAKE A GOOD GANGSTER MOVIE LIKE HE USED TO"
(sorry for putting it that blunt)
Look at this seriously, if you were a big fan of Scorcese you'd realise that he hasn't actually made a movie aimed at children. Ever.
In my eyes he hasn't even put a foot out of place with his movie making, so with this new idea I am intrigued.

what i meant was that i would have never expected Scorsese to make a kid/family movie and i don't like the idea.

Good, that's acceptable.
To my count Scorcese has made 4 gangster movies, I can't ask for more.

Well except for Taxi Driver. Man I played that tape all the time as a kid.

Balls.. how could I not count Departed. Seriously how can I be that stupid.
This just seems like it was done for the money in my opinion.
I think it was probably more for the fun aspect.
I don't know about this one...
Goodfellas is in my top 10 (if not my top 5) favorite movies of all time. This just seems like it was done for the money in my opinion.
I don't see him as the kind of guy that would make a movie just for the money.
