My EX58-UD3R didn't support SLI or come with a bridge when I bought it, but I've updated the BIOS from the website so it now supports SLI.
I'm just wondering how much performance I will lose from two GTX 260's if I use them without the bridge, because actually finding a bridge in Australia is near impossible.
I didn't think SLI actually functioned without a bridge

It does with the more recent drivers and cards, just there's a bit of a performance hit apparently.

Kinda sad that we can buy them in the US for half that price...

It does with the old 8600gt as they never had a sli connector yet they could be sli'd, I think it was something to do with the bandwidth, I cant remember what the tech guy said to me
Depends what card your using, it is down to the pci-e lanes some motherboards only do 16 for both lanes, some offer 16 for each slot. In your case no peformance loss. However this will vary.
I looked at some benchmarks in Crysis with and without the bridge with the same cards, the FPS only dropped by about one without the bridge, and I'm not expecting much of a drop either seeings I have two x16 slots.
