The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle. I honestly don't know what to think. - General

It's got a different look, though. Sort of reminds me of the Porsche days, too. Almost like they took a Super Beetle, smashed it together with a Fastback, then made it modern. As the resident Volksfan, I'm withholding my judgment. I quite like it. It's interior is even way better.

Certainly does have a Porsche look to it. Doesn't look as tall in height and short in length as it used to.

I'm... Confused. I don't think I would mind driving this Beetle 911, but I don't like that it is still called a beetle. :( I miss the old Beetle, I wish we still got them up until they quit production. I'd love a 2000-2003 beetle. From what I hear they had all electric options, and sat nav.

The old ones were pretty, the new ones look like warts.

Now I feel like they are losing their unique look.[/QUOTE] According the Motortrend, they are trying to go back to the older beetle look with the flattened roof but are also trying to make it more masculine by making it wider and lower.

This looks so much better than the first "New Beetle", which I think has become an uglier over it's time because they haven't changed it at all in the past 13 or so years they've been sold.
