I've been working on this track for a couple days now and it just sounds boring and dull..it has some cool sounds but it just sounds really stagnant to me. Any ideas how can I turn this track into a banger?

Thanks for your help.
(Sorry for the link, Facepunch won't let me use media tags for a secret soundcloud link.)
Turn down the sub a lot, your drums are getting so very, very squashed.

Yeah I haven't done any of the mixing yet, I am just frustrated with the structure right now. Thanks though, I'll keep that in mind.
As a random boob who occasionally likes his dubstep, I think the beginning is better before it starts getting higher and higher. It goes to getting higher and higher before the drop (that's what it's called, right?) a bit too suddenly for me, you could keep on the sound that goes on between 0.02 and 0.09 a bit longer, while gettign a bit more intense.
I wish I knew how top better express myself about this matter.
It's got loads of potential, for sure. Your drums sound nice but they need more punch and 'impact' if you know what I main, a subtle sidechain might do that for you. That would really blow some life in this track. As for the structure, the buildup needs work. To my taste it starts off too heavy already in the beginning. It's pretty long too. The beginning reminded me of Emalkay's 'When I Look At You', so what I suggest is: start with that pad, play it softly and some distant percussion or something, let that build up, then fade everything (no too abruptly) and then use like a long snare/kick roll to really start off the song. It's a similar buildup to Emalkay's song now that I think of it, so check it out if my explanation was a bit shite. :v:
Sounds good, but could use some side chaining here and there.
All your songs sound like a dubstep clusterfuck, atleast i think so.
Either you need a shitload of sidechaining or you should turn down the volume, im also quite surprised that the songs arent clipping constantly.

A clusterfuck? All of them?

I 100% disagree with you there.
Nlogax is an outstanding dubstep artist, he just requires help every now and then.
But mate, take note of this massive advice of sidechaining/drum/etc. tips, it'll make it sound much better.
It doesn't sound like a "clusterfuck" either

You shouldnt even say anything about my comment since you clearly do not know anything about dubstep production, *cough* Flusk *cough*. But that hasn't got anything do to with this song right?
I just want to point out that everything seems so cluttered in your songs Nlogax, and the sounds are just way too loud and that the drums are way too "invisible" saying.

The simple reason is that there is too much sub and it's keeping the limiter on the master busy, which is causing the drums to get squashed.

I agree with you there. I haven't done any of the mixing yet, so I expected some comments about the mixing being off when I posted this. But seeing as I haven't done any of the mixing yet, what would you recommend to improve the song just generally? I'm concerned that it's too flat, that the synths are too boring and stagnant but I'm not sure how to make it any better. I can hear the idea behind the track and it's not a bad one, i'm just not sure how to manifest this idea into a song. I was hoping that others would be able to hear the same idea in the song that I hear, but if the mixing is preventing you from hearing this then I could easily go back into the track and fix it so its easier to hear.
Well I commented on it again since it's like that on most of your songs, making them sound messy.
Just to explain to jimmyrobot.
But tbh, synths are something you should just experiment with yourself. If you're uninspired, take a break or do something different.

I can create a ton of synths as well as use quite a few I have here i'm just not sure what this song is lacking. It sounds like it is lacking something specific but I can't pinpoint it.
*cough* Flusk *cough*
Oh and you do? Please show an example of your *amazing* dubstep work then?
Also flusk is a complextro song not dubstep, so maybe learn shit before you use it to be a total cunt?

I'm sorry. But simply saying "use some sidechaining here and there" isn't exactly useful advice at all. It's like telling a chef to "add some salt".
You have to explain why you think he should sidechain stuff, and especially where. "Here and there" isn't all that specific, and it makes you sound like you're just throwing some technical jargon out there without really knowing what you're saying.

Wow you really took that hard.
Criticism shouldn't be this hard to take.

He wasn't really being an asshole, he's made a fair point. It'd kinda be like someone trying to give advice to a professional footballer about how to play better- They'd just end up being unspecific or not particularly helpful. The point is that you're fairly new to here and from what you've posted seem fairly new to producing, so by giving unspecific advice you're actually being counter productive by just muddling up everything, even though I'm sure everyone (including myself) appreciates that you're trying to be helpful.
