The logo was made by a fan and not even by Epic either, just goes to help show how well Epic and the community are working together atm.

Gonna be honest, I don't like the color scheme. I'd recommend

because red and black is a good color scheme for a bloody and gory game like UT, but I can understand if they're trying to distance themselves from UT3.
Swap the black and red colours maybe?

red was the color of UE3 and UT3, UT4's logo is probably blue to go along with UE4

i prefer the new minimalistic one, this old one looks like it was designed by some 13 year olds who got inspiration by googling "grimdark cool evil robot metal"

Flat design is popular and clean looking, and brings a modern air to an otherwise dated franchise. Its a good move.

Wow, it's almost like it was made fifteen years ago, when things that aren't cool now were cool! Good thing flat white won't be thought of the same as grimdark in 2029!
