• HDMI port wont work

I've just tried to set up my computer to my new 42" TV. With my laptop, it all works well, I plug the hdmi cable to my laptop and tv, and set the channel on the TV. On the stationary though, nothing happens. Neither on the TV or computer. The HDMI port on the computer seems to be a part of the motherboard, and the screen to it is plugged into a Nvidia card (can get the model if it's neccesary) I've tried plugging the screen into the VGA plug on the motherboard, but then the screen doesn't get any signals anyone has any ideas? Just ask if there's any information that lacks, or if I didn't make things clear enough...
You need to select the output display. Usually there is a key combination assigned for this very task. E.g. Fn + F4 (differs by make and model of laptop)
The laptop works just fine, it's the stationary comp which has problems :/
Uugh... Hmm have you got another display to test the hdmi port with?
Nope. But I'm 100% the tv works, it has to be the stationary comp. if I set up my laptop, it works. But when I plug it into the stationary.. nothing. I asume it might be some.. settings on the stationary of some sort, but under display settings, I can even choose the hdmi port. Nor do I even see any mention of it on any of the software on the comp (In Vista or the nvidia control center)
have the hdmi connected and restart comp? (btw unplug everything else (vga/dvi)
Yep. Tried that too... I've tried to see for any drivers, but I'm unsure exactly what I'd be looking for then...
Im Having the same problem, My hdmi Is connected to my motherboard and isnt working, I have it currently connected via rgb, But When I have it on HDMi, it wont display picture. I have it set up for The video card to display the video. What Do I do?
