Lol, I love how its an alpha and they state
Arma 3 is quirky and underdeveloped enough to put me off recommending it to anybody who hasn't already made up their minds about it
What a terrible "preview". "I played the alpha and it wasn't the full game so it's not good"
Lol, I love how its an alpha and they state
Literally the worst feed here.
Spending 10 minutes and calling it a hands-on when it is an alpha preview is not how game journalism works. Why do we have this bot again?
worse arma 3 article I've ever read... no joke.
Will Arma 3 be better optimized than Arma 2? IIRC Arma 2 had awful optimization
Will Arma 3 be better optimized than Arma 2? IIRC Arma 2 had awful optimization
From what I've heard, it is far better optimized than Arma 2.
"I have no idea what an alpha phase is, and yet I write articles on PC Gaming. Quality content!"
Literally the worst feed here.
Of course they are! They have sections dedicated to minecraft and league of legends..
From what I've heard, it is far better optimized than Arma 2.
This is true and that's saying a lot considering the alpha is quite laggy.
This is true and that's saying a lot considering the alpha is quite laggy.
only mp is very stuttering and laggish, while sp is actually very nice smooth 60 fps on all settings Plus obviously the game isn't done yet, and it doesn't use your full GPU/CPU performance, so expect more fpses
There's contradictory information going around about how well it works I'd bet it's hardware model specific, people are complaining about low cpu and gpu usage with terrible framerates and some people feel it runs really great, just wait and it will hopefully run just as good with every brand.
these people get paid to do these advertisements in all honesty, I envy them, mostly because they can write idiotic previews for something they've not a clue about, had a bad first time experience with. Makes me want to do my own reviews, in a non-biased, non-idiotic way. I'm sure there would be a few dozen people that'd enjoy that.
I still don't get why people like this bot. All it does it post shitty reviews, tons of minecraft articles, and late news.
"I JUMPED RIGHT INTO THE GAME WITHOUT PLAYING THE TUTORIALS OR HAVING PAST EXPERIENCE IN ARMA I/II AND I HAVE GOT TO SAY, THIS EARLY ALPHA WAS VERY CONFUSING" and people scoffed at rockpapershotgun?
From what I've heard, it is far better optimized than Arma 2.
Yup, from some of the hardcore people, I hear it uses more gpu than cpu. But then again, if you don't have nvidia and their physx, then the usage is just about the same.
I don't like how they didn't give any utility to the helmet mounted displays or most of the other futuristic gear.
I hate how the second you put anything mildly complicated into an editor, like a waypoint sync'd to a trigger, your framerate drops by about 20 fps. And the AI are still retarded. If those things were fixed arma 3 would be the perfect military video game.
Its funny, I"ve been playing Arma 3 for a bit now. It is hands down 100 times better then Arma 2, that is even with it being in Alpha state and missing a lot of content. The games controls are so much smoother, inventory is much easier to use, the game has been optimized so well. I can only imagine full-release easily being the best Arma game ever.
This was a review, not a preview.
Fire the article writer immediately, he has no business in game journalism if he thinks an alpha is fully representative of the final product.
Lol, I love how its an alpha and they state
Saying it's an alpha doesn't make bugs go away. He's saying he can't recommend it in the current state, I thought that was obvious. I disagree with him, but he never seemed to say that this is how the game will be on final release. Also the article seemed fine. It felt like a silly written joke that isn't supposed to be taken seriously. Calm the fuck down everyone.
Fire the article writer immediately, he has no business in game journalism if he thinks an alpha is fully representative of the final product.
Where did the author say this?
Brt you are wrong because you and the author know just as little about this game.
Brt you are wrong because you and the author know just as little about this game.
That is correct, and It doesn't interest me in the least. But I don't see where an article that sounds like a joke is to be interpreted as someone attacking the franchise or the A3 alpha.

I thought the author of that website is on FP as well?
I thought the author of that website is on FP as well?
jbenson I think he usually does damage control when one of the writers says something dumb, surprised he didn't pop in here
"DayZ has made Arma cool,"
If it wasn't for DayZ, I wouldn't have tried ARMA II. Its actually pretty fucking fun. I will probably buy ARMA III if the controls aren't so fucking terrible.
