So my computer keeps freezing, pretty sure its my PSU or motherboard. I have $140 dollars to spend, hopefully maybe save a bit of it. Two choices(Or suggest one):

My pc:
Nivida Geforce 9400 GT
AMD Anthlon II X2 260 Processor
2.0 GB RAM
And my motherboard is something like this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131616&cm_re=Asus_motherboard-_-13-131-616-_-Product (Not quite sure, but it's an asus.)
My current power supply is some crappy one that doesn't even have a website, it doesn't even say the voltage. All it says is "Xcalibur" and the model number on the side.
Those are rather crappy PSUs. I would suggest going with a Corsair TX650. It is much more reliable, and isn't too expensive.
Silverstone is OK
Can anyone reccomend me a good one then? That isn't too expensive, cause again I have a $140 budget, and if it isnt my PSU that is the problem its probably the motherboard
Silverstone is OK
Oh, I didn't realize that it was a reputable brand for PSUs, so in that case you can just go with the Silverstone.
If you mean a complete freeze (hard lock), that would generally point towards a motherboard issue. I've only ever had it happen on AMD when my CPU had inadequate or too much voltage. Though I've also experienced it on an Intel nForce board where the chipset was overheating - might want to check it's not going above 50C or so.
Watch a graph of vCore and temperatures (mainly chipset, anything else would give a BSOD when it overheats) while stressing your CPU (e.g. prime95)
If the PSU were at fault you would normally get spontaneous reboots or shutdowns, not freezes. Though that's not to say you shouldn't replace that PSU; it's not very good.
Isn't $140 a bit of an overkill for a psu with your current specs? or do you plan to use it when you get a new build?
anyhow, silverstone is alright
You don't really need 600 Watts but if you buy a quality PSU now you can use it in your next build (which should happen this year imo, since yours is getting quite dated) ,and maybe even the one after it.

Get either a Corsair or a Silverstone.
